I have been pretty happy with them so far (for the price anyways). With BMWs, there are often "hidden" features that can be enabled by "coding". Buying one of the adapters mentioned by sspade allows you to "code" there features (its not actually coding, rather just changing values from on or off). For example, if your car didn't come with the Sport Automatic Transmission, you can code that in (this gives you faster and sportier shifts). Another common coding, is to "Remember Last Setting" for the Auto Start/Stop.

Another mod that might be up your alley is new wheels (and tires). I can't tell if you have the sportline rims or the base 17" rims .... if it's the base 17", upgrading to 18" OEM Sportline rims (sorry guys, forgot the style #) would look sexy (or something like the Apex Arc-8 would look sexy too). If you're upgrading your wheel, then you need new tires too.... for tires, get Non RFT, my recommendation is Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Continental Extreme Contact Sports or Bridgestone Pole positions.

I'm thinking H7 Low Beams First...then maybe a front lip...I looked for some front lips yesterday.. there are literally hundreds to choose from. Do you have a good suggestion? What I'd do first is order the vgate OBD port adapter and get an app called BimmerCode so that you can customize your car by coding small things in that makes your BMW yours. For example I've change the iDrive start up animation, changed the welcome lights, disabled the auto start/stop feature and a few other things.

I'd also maybe consider tinting the rear lights slightly, really love how that looks on the 1 series. If you're planning on tuning I'd get used to the car for the first month or two, get used to the power and rear wheel drive platform then go for a stage 1 or stage 2 at most. Oh and if you'd like a nice sound & a bit more BHP change the in-take to a cold air in-take.

Hope I gave you some ideas that you might like

EDIT: I would have also suggested that you modify the exhaust for more airflow but nowadays it's difficult topic because of the law.

thanks! I'll be ordering bimmercode today!! I'll also look into rear tinting! I appreciate all the great ideas! I'm loving the vehicle so far!! Can't say I've ever been this excited or proud of owning an Audi!

That is just the adapter, which lets your phone connect to it via WiFi. Once connected, you use an app to communicate with the car. The app allows you to fix errors etc that come up on the dash. It also allows you to code/change features in your car in order to make it more customized to the user. The app allows you to do many useful things, but the main reason people get it is to disable/enable/modify features in their car.

Just make sure you get the WiFi version of the adapter and you should be sorted, just noticed you have the Bluetooth version in that screenshot. You also need to pay in the app to enable the coding feature, just so you're aware. Well worth it in my opinion though.

You should be able to download BimmerLink, BimmerCode, and buy a Vgate iCar 3 adapter for about $80 total.

Check eBay as well for the adapter. Should not cost more than $25 shipped at the very high side. I paid $17 for mine.

BimmerLink is for reading and clearing error codes, CEL's, etc (diagnostics). You can also view sensor values, control the exhaust flap and a couple things as well.

BimmerCode is for actual coding of features/preferences.

All you need is a single adapter to plug into your cars OBD port so that your car can communicate wirelessly with your phone (and the apps).

thanks for the tip! I was lucky enough to be able to take a 1 Day Course out in Vegas. I was able to rent a f430. It wasn't so much training as it was saftey and some simulator training before they let you get behind the wheel. Plus they have a guy with you telling/yelling at you when to lay into it and brake lol.

Like sspade said, start with cosmetics and coding like:
Door lights on in reverse
Rear leds with DRLs
Comfort access
Then when the excitement seems to be wearing a tad, you can start modding.
FMIC, Exhaust, Flash Tune, etc. We're all here to help you through it.

PS Ikon Motorsports on ebay makes quality stuff and fitment is OEM from what I've heard.
