Dashcam fuses
Morning,
I'm in the process of refitting my dashcam into the new car. The main bulk of fuses are no longer just behind the rear seats in the boot but much further back and sods law, the cables are too short! The good news, there are some fuses under the drivers dashboard. Anyone know if I can ride on a fuse that is higher amps that what the dashcam needs? Example, can I add a 5A (dashcam), onto a 10/20A fuse? Thanks. |

You can do this with piggy back fuses. The existing 10/20A in one slot and the 5A fuse in the 2nd circuit for the dash cam. good luck finding a permanent live. I extended the cables and took power from the battery (with an inline fuse)

On the F31 I used the interior lights. It seemed to be always on and the cam kept on recording for hours, until the Multisafer said "Stop"
