Did you ever figure this out? To have the tails always on as DRL, even when the light switch is on position 2 (0). And also function as blinkers. I can only get it to keep rear tails lit in light switch position 1 (auto), 3 (parking), and 4 (on). But no rear DRLs when in position 2.


Or does the mapping force it to be one or the other (blinkers or DRL). Not both? If anyone knows how to keep both so they are always on, let me know! Thanks

Which platform did you use to do this? I've been trying to find these fields in Bimmercode and having issues.

I just coded mine with BimmerCode all of the values are there. You have to first go into Rear Electronic Module -> Expert Mode -> Search for fields like “TAGFAHRL” or “BLINKER” you can search by pulling down the screen (I’m on iPhone so it may be different if you have something else)-> Change each value to what you want.

Be careful make sure you double check or even triple check your values. I messed up the first time and my tail lights were all messed up. If you have any questions message me on Instagram (@maustax) I’m not on these forums often this is my first reply ever lol. Hopefully everything will work for you!

Hey, are you in expert mode, and it should all be in the Rear Electronic Module, (REM)

So I did it all and it worked, but now, theirs a different problem. Can I turn the blinker lights to brake lights? I've tried messing with it and couldn't figure it out. BMW 328I 2015.

I coded the rear led bar to work as turn signal, it needs to be brighter though.

With the light bars acting as the turn signal, is there a way to still retain its original DRL function?

So basically, ideal goal is: DRL stays on, and when blinker turns on, it'll blink while the other side stays on.

Hi,

I coded my sons 2014 F30 328i as per post # 58 but as we didn't get the results my son thought we would see, I restored the file I'd saved before making changes.

I restored the previously saved file, the rear lights behave as before but the side mirror turn indicators aren't functioning correctly.

After restoring, I locked the car and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. then used the remote to open car and the mirror turn indicators function correctly but then they won't come on again, whether using the turn stalk, hazrd light or locking the car.

On further investigation, it seems that the mirror turn indicators work if you only OPEN or LOCK the car, as soon as you flick the turn indicator stalk to turn left or right or press hazard light switch, the mirror indicators are deactivated and no longer flash even when opening or locking the car.

Sounds like PRIORITY settings are out of wak.

Any idea on where I can check the settings?

This is correct however for me the last option wasn’t right. There is no LEVEL_r for me. It’s H_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 > 00

bit late... and i know I'm reviving an old thread but how does anyone get the rear led bars to stay on all the time with DRL, like the halos, but also flash with the turn signals. i am trying to do it on an M240i LCi and it blinks in every mode, but they are only permanently on when its dark or the switch is on position 3 (side/parking light's)

I really doubt that these values would work on an LCI 4 series. I went through the process to activate rear fog lights on my USA car. The values for the 3 series don't work on my 2019 F32.
