I think BMW is going back to what they did during the 80s

1 Sausage, 3 Lengths

Which isnt bad in this case IMO, I like the new 5er a Lot.

a lil conservative? it looks like they scaled back almost every change they initially made. looks like the next 3 series will be much more evolutionary than revolutionary in terms of ext style.

Not digging it at all. Plain looking, just like the new 5er and 6er.

I must be missing something. If this is to be a 2012 model, why would it only be announced in November 2011 and introduced in Geneva in March of 2012? Shouldn't it be a 2013 model? I'm asking because my present e90 lease expires in October and I'm OK with another e90 - and definitely want another normally aspirated straight six.

I'm pretty sure the F30 will be a MY2012, as the current E90s (post March 2011 production) are still considered MY2011.

If you wait until October, your chances of getting a NA six are pretty slim.

I HATE the amber turn signals in the side view mirrors. Your eye is drawn to them. Hopefully that is just a test mule thing.

Looks almost exactly the same as an E90, not really swaying me here. Probly stick with a facelift B8 A4

Not too much to add, it smacks of the F10 which IMO is a great thing as long as it's a little more performance-biased. Those are of course not the production mirrors I assume. So far, so good!

Need to see it with more camo taken off, but from what we can see:

Good: Squared off angel eyes, sharp clean lines
Not sure about: length (hope it hasn't grown too much like new A4), also front end looks weak.

Can't wait to see more pics!

Same thoughts here...the cars are growing...I think the next 1 series will be what we now consider a 3 series...I guess this is all because of competion...C class and A4 both grew larger in their latest versions (I think on paper they did not grow all that much but they look bigger than the versions they replaced) guess BMW needs to do the same...I think they should all stop getting bigger as a team...we need different sizes...isn't that the point of the different models??? lol
