Bootmod bm3 pro tuning freaks already posted full e85 dyno and its 462 wheel 569 torque. Perfect for me since I have e85 a block away from my house

Do you have anything to share other than what you have gleaned from this forum relative to Bootmod bm3 pro tuning freaks? I like them and in fact have ran their tune on one of my past BMWs - that said I'm trying to understand if you can move the conversation along or not relative to the B58 platform. In other words do you have anything specific to contribute other than what you intend to do in the future? I'm cool either way just trying to understand if you are contributing or regurgitating

Either is fine...I see you are a new member, welcome!

That is on a downpipe and intake with full e85, which is equivalent to 108 octane...Based on available data I can bet you money if MP did a full E85 Tune on a stock car (no downpipe needed) they would easily beat those numbers. But seems like you’ve made up your mind regardless...I won’t argue the potential value you may get from BM so I hope you will love it!

Even with the tune alone and an estimated 420whp and 430/440tq, you’re roasting your rear tires and it’s very hard to get traction. Without having an lsd, what makes you think that having 462whp/569tq is a good idea? Lol you’re gonna go straight into a wall pulling out of a McDonald’s drive thru. Don’t get me wrong- 462whp/569wtq would be awesome but in all honesty where will you be able to use that kind of power? Drive my car or someone else’s who has a flash/jb4 tune first to see just how hard it is to get traction off the line. After that, you’ll see that 400+hp/tq is plenty for the street and even track.

MP can probably do a full E85 tune but you’re looking at lower boost targets and higher timing, it’s nothing more then a trade off. Limitation is fuel pump.

This is why I have faster times then the BM3 X3 on full E85 and I was only E30, it can only pump so much fuel and therefore has lower boost targets.

You can't accurately compare two different vehicles timed on a GPS device, on different days, in completely different locations, hence different DA's.

Already drove my friends 340i with meth intake downpipe and 5 gallon e85 mix which is 460 wheel and he doesn’t have traction problems so I think we are fine mate! And I have jntake downpipe and m performance power kit and exhuast as well so I think I’m good nice to know you back up mp tune and like downpnplaying other tunes for the b58 platform

so objectively speaking there are only three possibilities why your friend is not having traction issues.
  1. LSD
  2. X-drive
  3. He's not making the power you think

I have no reason to believe that your friend or you would overstate the Wheel HP numbers, so I'm curious if it is an x-drive car or a RWD with LSD

Actually if MP didn’t exist, I would go for BM3 without even thinking about it. MP happens to be 30 min from my house and Alex is a very good guy. I’m not downplaying anyone else’s tune. If you have nothing to contribute to this thread please leave rather than boasting about how great someone else’s car is, and how you’re going to get BM3. This isn’t a BM3 thread- it’s an MP thread.

Exciting stuff - Grassy is the first beta tester for the MP fuel pump modification (what it is I presently do not know) - but that'll be one more thing running on his car for tomorrows dyno testing

Both cars went into limp mode because of what was explained to us as a "wheel speed code" or something like that.

Alex (MP) is convinced it's a function of the cars not being put into the proper dyno mode (although the hidden menu was accessed)

Sooooo looking ahead we are firming up for next Tuesday on the the same type of Dyno but at a different shop and Alex will be present to oversee car mode etc..

Overall it was good to visit EAS, had fun, dyno for the first time, live broadcast for the first time - and the car is of course strong as always just need to make sure next time the car and the dyno play nice together :-)

Thanks guys - you did what you said you would do, share your experience with all of us and for that I say thanks. Bummer we don't have any numbers but looks like you'll have another go at it next week.

Thanks for continuing to share
