Wanted to hear your opinion on non rft tires

I have 335 msport 19 with Bridgestone s001 rft. Planing to replace tire soon. This is my first set of rft tire on f30. I had bmw before with non rft.

What's your guys opinion of non rft particularly on f3x. I'm planing to get Michelin a/s 3+ or 4s. What about other brands too?

Like how's the grip, Steering feel, road noise, and overall performance.

Please share your experiences.

Thanks

First, you should go to www.tirerack.com and put in your vehicle and choose Consumers recommendations.

The popular choice is Mich P4's hands down. Best performance summer tire out there bar none! Handles the best in both Wet and Dry. This is all you really need to know.

I almost made a poor decision by going "cheap" for the Firestone Firehawks but woke up and had buyers remorse without even making a selection.

You will also get feedback on different tires that become LOUD aka Conti's and Bridgestone. Stay away from the bottom half as you will simply get what you pay for. Just my 2 cents. Good luck and happy shopping.

So did it make you faster on bumper to bumper traffic.... firehawk indy 500 or gmax rs or as05 is fine for everday driving with some pedal to the metal stop light impromptu.

Mich max summer tire worth it ....maybe. I'll save my money and get what I listed up there.... just my 2 cent

No worries. It's all personal preference and how you drive your car I suppose. The tires you mentioned are probably fine but for me I simply want the best plus knowing I can push the limits and feel completely safe and planted. I guess it's better than sliding off a cliff or ending up in a tree disfigured.

To the OP... there is plenty of reviews on tires on here and YouTube. The question is how you going to use the car. Is it 50/50 track car. Or 90% DD and 10% impromptu racing(yup this is how you get ticket).

There are two camps here... 1.) The Michelin MPSS and its variant camps. And 2.) the budget friendly UHP tires (summer or all season). I assure you all those tires I mention will meet your needs and some. I did track a firehawk indy 500 and i never reach the limit. I say if your do hardcore track then maybe should invest more on better tires.... but for DD what I mention is good tires.... check www.tirerack.com for reviews.
