The wheels have covered delivery miles only and are off my 4 Series M Sport Plus Convertible.

Was £1250, Strict instructions from swmbo that I cant keep a second set of wheels

From my experience, Bridgestones usually come with more than 8mm so my guess is that the seller is being over modest

Surely you can get away with calling them winters? I've got a second set, I just tell the wife they are for the winter even tho they have summer tyres, she'll never know!

Tried that already, "how come we didn't need them any other winter" & "the other cars don't have winters" was the response i got

If i convince her that we need winters it could get very expensive as she will expect it on the other two vehicles

Just for the eagle eyed out there, I would just like to clear up the situation with the tyres, they have indeed been used the 7mm was measured by the dealer, but the wheels are brand new as they were replaced by bmw under warranty for the corrosion around the center caps, since the car was delivered back to me it has not been moved again and I don’t intend to use again until the wheels are sold.
