Hello all,

Recently broke my stock chargepipe and installed the new VSFR chargepipe for the x drive model. Boost seems to be holding strong but the turbo is making in odd noise (like a party horn, party blower?). This could either be a boost leak or a diverter valve stuck? Not sure. Anybody ever heard this noise before?

Man that's funny. The noise sounds exactly like you described. Could it be a bad seal in the middle of the CP allowing air to flow through whatever rubber gasket was there?

What exhaust you running?

This is just the stock exhaust, map 5 with e85 mix.

Makes the same noise in map 1 (but harder to tell) and even less in map 0. This is why I know it’s linked to boost levels. JB4 shows I’m pushing 14 lbs of boost still... would a leak make this noise?!

I've uploaded the Jb4 second gear to 3rd full throttle map, shows the boost levels at 12-14 PSI.

Any insight?

Hello, did anyone ever find out what the cause of this noise is? I am having the exact same issue.
