Yes, they're 403M. For a lot of markets the standard wheel for all M-sports are 400M (18"), 403M is optional.

I declare the winner to be the color that is cheaper of the two.

They are both good and look the same .

Correct! and that is only visible in direct sunlight on a sunny day.

My next ride will probably be an f30 Msport estoril blue II. (in 4 years on)

It was E90Fleet who confirmed the colors were different and how they differ:

"The formula for Estoril Blue II contains alot more silver than the Monte Carlo. They are definitively not the same"

In some situations they do look almost identical. I saw both at NAIAS this past January (on the same cars incidentally - an F30 328i MSport and an F10 M5) and I could tell the difference. I actually prefer the Estoril II. I think it is probably the extra silver in the Estoril II that makes it shine more when in bright light.

Pretty hard for my eyes to tell the difference between the two colors, but that doesn't really matter because they are both stunning!

A few more pictures which show the difference between MCB and Estoril Blue better. The F30 and F21 are both Estoril blue.

Description in detail:
Estoril Blue 2 B45 in the shade is identical to Montecarlo Blue. Only in the sun on will notice
The differences. Estoril is slightly lighter and varying shades of blue are more greenish flake less silvery flake.
Montecarlo Blue B05 meanwhile what varies is the saturation that is losing a pure blue to blue with many silvery flakes.
Both belong to last generation of colors.
I seem to sense that BMW did it on purpose, offering so similar tones, only to have some reserve in case of failure of paint supplier , as happened with Xirallic for 2 years.
And surprise to those who did not know the brand offers a third variant of these is called Neon Blue Individual .

You're right Montego Blue was a balanced medium blue with an image between sporty and elegant.
It is one of my favorite blues.
Maybe If I send and mail to BMW USA and BMW GERMANY along with other people owning to return the color.
But I'll tell you something, put brand interests above everything no matter withdraw something that pleases some and focus on what sells more.
I have been in communication contact with BMW GERMANY to offer some colors in the next M3.
At the same time I tell you I proposed to take out a Performance Package, for the M5.
I have evidence to say this.
By the way I was asked to work with them and have had no answer, as you can see the brand only cares a bough their interests and nothing more.
You're the first person on the forum that I say this.
I ask one thing, says all I want to know the opinion off all, opening a new topic or post.
