M Performance Front Brake Calipers/Rotors/Pads/Sensor

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Parting ways with my MPBBK front set only. This came in a kit with front and rears, but I had to swap the front with the 340mm MSBBK to fit my wheels. The set had less than 1000 miles of use. They have been ceramic coated using GYEON Rim. I repeat, the sale is for the FRONT SET ONLY.

Included in the price:
2x M performance front brake calipers (new clips and pins included)
2x BMW slotted and dimpled 370mm rotors
2x M performance front brake pads
1x Brake pad wear sensor

Local sale preferred, but willing to ship. Located in Signal Hill, CA.

Curious what wheels you have that fit the rear 345’s, but not the front 370’s?

I have a square set of BBS RE848s. It was a frustrating realization that I couldn’t run the bigger calipers. I didn’t want to take any chances.

See the 340mm/345mm combo:

What size and offset are your BBS wheels? Are you using spacers?

Wow! So I assume that the BBS barrel shape was just too tight

just curious, if he had gone with lower offset, would it clear the brake caliper?

Correct. Barrels are tapered inside. So it hit the tops of the 370mm calipers. If I had gone with my TE37s (which have wide barrel clearance), or kept the 400m’s, it would have been okay. But of course, my dumbass chose the path less traveled

No issues with the spoke clearance. It’s an issue with the barrel taper of my wheels.

if you go 19 inch, would it solve the barrel taper?

You can still run 18s. You just have to validate the barrel design. 19s will work no problem.

BBS wheels look so nice. It’s a shame that’s the case. I know that APEX is very concerned about brake clearance. They have laser scans of wheel wells and popular brake setups that they use during their wheel designing.

Correct. To be fair, the BBS made other specs for the RE line that accommodate for bigger brakes. Slicer_m had 20” on his F31. I was willing to compromise with my wheel specs since I wanted to run the practicality of 18” wheels, not to mention my wheels are discontinued and are becoming rarer.

Would this bolt directly onto a 2016 428i F32 base model or other parts required for the upgrade?

It should just bolt right in. The only concern would be to verify if your current wheels fit the brakes. Most stock bmw 18” wheels should fit. 19” and above will for sure fit

Here is my car with OEM 397 18 inch wheels and the aftermarket BMW Performance Brake add on:
