F30 xDrive 19x9.5 et33 SQUARED fitment

Hello all -- I'm looking to buy a set of wheels but their sizing is pretty limited. I definitely want a squared setup but 8.5" is too narrow for my taste, and 9" isn't offered. So 9.5" et33-35 is what I"m working with. Does anyone have any experience running this spec (or very close to it)? Keep in mind that I have no suspension mods or fender mods (will do these if necessary).

I saw one user awhile ago run 19x9.5 et35 squared, but he was only a mm away from hitting his strut (although he claims he had no rubbing issues in ANY situations); with that information in mind, I'm inclined to go with et33, but that may rub the fender?

Any help is appreciated!

I'm running a square set up

Wheels are 19x9.5 5x120 ET20
Tires are 255/35ZR19

My tires poke out a bit past the fender, I didn't adjust camber at all from stock. There is about 3/4" between the inside of the tire and the strut so you could go with a larger offset and then tweak it with a spacer if you had to.

that looks terrible in my opinion.

OP, why the need for 9.5 wide wheels on your 328? especially at stock height. I run 8.5 up front with a 235 and its plenty meaty. You can even go 8.5s with 255s square and be fine. whats the desire for trying to shove a 9.5 wide wheel up front?

this is my 19x9 et24 with 225/40, 9.5 et33 would be 2.5mm less aggressive.

lowered on H&R w/ no rub

I recently moved to the Minneapolis area and the roads are bad enough that I shouldn’t even consider 19’s but every time I see blumagic’s car I want those wheels...

Hey they are cheap and easy to find spares. Indiana roads suck too

Not to thread hijack, but could do you think you could fit a 255/35 if you weren’t as low?

it would technically fit, but it would be iffy looks wise depending on the tire brand and without the camber from the drop.

I think conti's run narrow. The Federals I run always run wide ~10mm. I feel like I could fit a 245/35 as-is, i just would have to be selective on the brand. Going narrower while experimenting with the sizes is the safer bet than going wide and trying to make the tires fit.

VMR had a set of wheels on a huge sale and 9.5 was all I could get my hands on. Further, I have an xdrive and would prefer a square set up.

i've said it in other threads. the reason for the sale is they wont fit. sometimes a sale just aint worth it if it requires a whole lot of work to fit them. I too have xdrive and run staggered VMR wheels using 235/265

Doesn't matter to me what your opinion is at all man, I mod my car the way I want not the way you want. I'd never give a comment like that to anybody but then I'm not rude.

OP just showing the you what mine looks like with my set up

With a 235-245 up front it'll work but as you see it'll look goofy. Unless you want to look like you're driving a skateboard, not worth it. Save up and buy wheels that fit. Black Friday sales will be here in a few months, and the classifieds is full of quality used options.

The images provided above are et20 while mine are et33; do you think it'll still poke out a large amount? I'm looking for concrete evidence and thoughtful information, not "go buy different wheels".

Also, what are "the classifieds"?

That is thoughtful information. Buy wheels designed for your car, not try to fit a setup that isn't made for your car because it's on sale.

Yes they will still poke. The wheels are too wide in the front and you'll need a spacer to compensate, causing it to poke more. Do your research on here if you want more concrete evidence. You'll find 18x8.5 et35 with 245 square all day on x-drive cars sitting flush. You want yours to stick out over 1/2" more, go right ahead.

These are the classifieds.

good luck.

No one wants you to fail, just saying you're teetering on the edge of what works and likely to have issues. When you stop being honest about your mistakes and feed more crap into the community pool, more people just have the same issues.
