Dinan Springs/Koni Yellows Stance!

Hi all. I just wanted to post a few pictures of my former car to give forum members an idea of the stance if anyone is on the fence about going this route while considering suspension upgrade options. This is by far one of the best upgrades I did on this car. I never regretted a second. My car had about 44k miles on it when I had the suspension installed till I sold the car with about 114k miles on it. Never had a problem. Car drove and handled like the first day I installed the suspension. Enjoy.

Looks great, stance would be different for an xDrive though? Maybe even more different for F32 coupe as it already sits a bit lower than F30?

Perhaps. The difference would be in your tire and wheel specifications mostly.

The tire and wheel specs are same for xDrive and RWD cars, however, RWD cars sit lower with less fender gap, in xDrive the gap is more pronounced, even more in the front

Ah well, in that case, I would consider HR Sport or super sport springs if you want more of a drop. I wanted more of a conservative drop without sacrificing ride quality, hence my opting for the Dinan springs

How was the ride quality? Harsh or no? I am considering the Dinan springs but the 30% stiffer has me worried. Did you use the springs with OEM or any other damper than Koni? I was considering a Dinan/Bilstein combo

Bimmerfan, thanks for sharing this. I have the same setup, and was wondering how many miles could I get with it. I installed it at 10k miles on the clock, and now my car is at 24k miles. This is great to know, much appreciated.

Can you share your thoughts on the ride quality? Is it harsh over sharp bumps? I have done the super low/harsh ride thing and am past that point, not wanting to repeat that. Your roads are similar to ours here so I am wondering what you think of the ride quality.

The roads are harsh here in Chicago, especially with all the construction going on now. With my summer setup of 19" wheels, I can feel it sometimes on big bumps or major road imperfections. With my 18" winter setup it is a lot smoother driving in those conditions. Overall I am very pleased with it.
