Anyone using sil-glyde to quiet noisy brakes
Putting my OE pads back on for winter (prefer their harder initial bite when cold). But having a problem with squealing. Previously used another brand but a friend suggested Sil-Glyde. Initially, quiet. But then after a week, squealing.
Do I need to apply a lot of Sil-Glyde? Or is it not all that good as anti-squeal?

CRC and Permatex both make very good products. CRC is better known for spray treatments, like MAF Cleaner and Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner. If you don't know what they are you should, they're as much a part of a regular maintenance routine as brake grease.

I redo mine every fall, when I rotate my tires, sand the ridges off the edges of the rotors, touch up the paint on my calipers and hubs, and clean the insides of my wheels. Start to finish it's a three hour job, and it's worth every minute invested.
