Rear Bumper Change - Easy?

So....spotted someone a little dodgy on the drive earlier on my camera, so shot home. Long story super short, I reversed into a post. And my rear bumper is now in pieces. Corners gone and 2 big holes in it. So I need a new rear bumper.

So all my stupidness aside...

How easy is a rear bumper to replace solo? Any guides on here?

So gutted Can't be changed, what is done is done!

Think it’s very similar to E90 bumper, they’re a pain in the arse to get off because there’s hundreds of little clips all along the top edge, but refitting is fairly easy.

BMW have done away with those E90 style clips down the sides, making it much easier on the F30/31. There are around a dozen screws underneath, 2 inside the arch liner and 2 by the rear lights, but that's it. Just pull back and remove the parking sensors. About 15mins to remove. Done mine twice now whilst deciding on my long term towbar.

Ahhh the second reply sounds much much better! Thanks for the guys. It certainly can't be repaired, and was horrible seeing it this morning, but just got back from a rather expensive holiday and the mrs has been quite unwell and needs a few ops so need to get it don't myself as I can't be without the car!

Rough cost of a new bumper painted?

Best to get a used one as they're about £500 new, then sprayed at an indy about £250 or BMW £500

I'm told findapart.co.uk can be pretty useful. Put in your paint code too, as you might get one the same colour, saving the spraying costs.

I presume an estate (F31?) rear bumper will not fit?

I'd be very surprised if it did, although the diffusers and crash bars are the same.
