I'm on BM3 STG1 right now with a catless downpipe, for stage 2 you need a downpipe, intercooler, and chargepipes (but those are optional). I'm in Florida so it's normally hot and humid but when it does get cold outside could I theoretically run STG2 without the intercooler or would that be bad?

You can, but you really shouldn't especially in Florida.

That's what I mean. But some days in winter it does get cooler and I was wondering if I could on those days

You're going to blow the stock chargepipe on stage 2 because of the added boost.
The stock chargepipe is plastic and blows on stock boost pretty frequently.

Be ready

You can, but you really shouldn't. You'll run into heat soak problems and increase knock risk.

Yeah that's fair enough I'll just wait until I can get the 2 together

It looks like you own a 320i so I strongly recommend you against going stage 2. The engine is more fragile that the low compression version, and the boost target and torque of stage 2 will cause issues. Stage 1 is maximum.

I think the forum already had some N20s with BM3 that blew.

You could but no point in doing so.

Your car will not be making more power since ECU will lower ignition timing to keep the temp in check

Your stock charge pipe will not last long with that kind of boost either
