I came from a B8 S4 6MT. I gotta say, the S4 interior felt more special. I was going to get another b8.5 s4 but didn't because i'm not a fan of the dual clutch trans. Very clunky in stop and go traffic. My 435 has a great motor/trans but I gotta say, it's boring compared to the S4. I have a much more disconnected driver experience in the BMW compared to the Audi.

That's the way I felt when comparing the 335 (even in rear wheel drive form) with the S4. The S4 was more "visceral". I am hoping the 340 bridges that gap.

I also liked the interior better on the S4 but I like BMW exterior styling better (in M sport guise).

Yes the s4 has a bit more power but the more linear supercharged engine fit the 6 speed manual much better than the single turbo 335 where the auto's much faster shifting and more gears do a better job keeping the turbo on the boil.
That's interesting. I am a die hard manual transmission guy but I also thought the auto was better matched to the n55 in the 335 than the manual tranny. The manual felt slower, almost a little sluggish to me, and I was trying to figure out why (yes I know the 0-60 times are faster for the auto but this was just in general). On the other hand, with the 6 speed in the S4, the car felt a bit faster and "immediate". The b58/340 may take care of this. In any case, I'd still only buy a manual in either car!

Engine is smoother and incredibly efficient. Power kit bumps it to 355 hp and 369lb ft which would smoke a B8.5.

The b58 pulls to the redline holding peak 320 hp from 5500-6500rpm. It's one hell of an engine. The n55 was really good but the b58 in something else
355hp is on paper. 340's w/ the MPPSK are consistently putting down ~368hp at the wheels.

I understand. But I'm referring to stated values by bmw. Because Audis are underrated too
