Winshield 4" hairline crack -Where to fix?

I'm upstate NY near Kingston, Poughkeepsie area. Looking for recommendations to fix 4" single hairline crack.

Safelite couldn't fix because the crack spread and the stuff they injected into the chip came loose. Don't recommend them.

I've heard it requires drilling both ends of the crack and then sealing it to prevent it from spreading.

I will travel near NJ, NYC area if needed.

I recommend finding a great place for a replacement rather that trying to fix something that will never be near perfect within your field of vision.

I'd be shocked if a 4 inch crack could be repaired.

This sounds like a good reason to have glass coverage and just get a new windshield.

Also, pough is not "upstate"

I had a crack about 3 inches or so and my glass source told me he couldn't fix it and it would be better to replace as once cracks start to spread they'll keep going, replacement was about $250 for aftermarket glass, $300 for the original German glass.

Only way I would ever attempt to use some glass repair like that would be if the car was leased, if it's yours replace the windshield bro. F30 windshields are fucking garbage and chip easy as hell anyway....chances are they would damage it more during a repair.

Have to pay to play
