Looks like a great inexpensive mod. I hate the factory halogens. One question though; the link you provide for the low beam replacement LEDs leads to H1 bulbs. I don't see an option for H7...? Are they different?

Hey, I updated the link to https://www.amazon.com/roadsun-H11-ROADSUN-Led-Headlight-Bulbs-Conversion-Kit-H11-60W-8000LM-6000K-Cool-White-Extremely-Bright-COB-Chips-IP68-Waterproof-All-in-One-Led-Car-Lights-1-Yr-Warranty/dp/B0772W8R16?keywords=Roadsun%2Bh7%2Bled&qid=1529434 050&sr=8-14&ref=mp_s_a_1_14&th=1&psc=1

Not sure why the option is gone from the original link

I bought the same LED's that were linked for the low beams for the highs as well, but unfortunately they didn't fit. There's a piece of plastic in the headlight that prevents them from sitting in the housing correctly.

Is anyone running LED's in their highbeams? If so could you show me which bulb you're using? Thanks.

I found an easier solution just now. They make them without the heatsink:

It has a heatsink, that's what the braided ribbon is.

Right, sorry what I meant is it's not a solid metal chunk type of heatsink. Since they're flexible ribbons I think they'd be a perfect solution to the highbeam fitment problem. I just wonder if they're safe to leave strewn about the inside of the headlight amongst other wires.

I completed this procedure on my car last night, for the DRLs and low beams only for now.

Couple of thoughts: First, this is totally worth it, looks awesome and visibility is greatly improved.

Second, this has to be the worst headlight setup I have ever seen. Most cars these days use big plastic retainer rings or just fixtures that are designed for the lamp assembly to twist into place. These stupid metal tabs are sharp as hell, and with no room to maneuver or the ability to see what the hell I was doing I cut my hands all to hell doing it. And I’m not a mechanical newbie by any stretch.

That said I’m glad I did it, thank you for the write up.

Do you get flickering when starting up the car on the turn signals? I coded out the warm and cold checks and there’s no flickering when using it but it flickers at start up. Wondering which code I didn’t code out for the cold and warm checks. If you can screenshot your Bimmercode set up for the turn signals I’d appreciate it.

Make sure you change the bulb type to LED as well as code out the cold and warm checks. They should be under the FEM module and will be three sections titled "Indicator Front"

I just did all my fronts except High Beams this weekend. I coded them to LED bulb type plus turned off all warm/cold checks. No errors or flickers so far and everything seems to work.

I bought the same DRL and Parking bulbs as the one in the OP. For the rest:
Low Beams, Turn Signals, Fogs

I ended up buying these for the high/low beams:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They fit great and are bright as hell. No fans either so less moving parts/noise/chances for things to fail/break. They also solve the highbeam fitment issue that you get with LED bulbs that have conventional fans/heatsinks.

Did you need additional..." Headlight Bulb Retainers Holder Adapter "?

Or did they fit the Oem headlamps?

Everything that you need comes in the box. Nothing else was additionally purchased to make them fit.

The reviews for these headlights were one of the best on amazon and about 10 dollars cheaper than on amazon with the coupon for ebay, and they're direct from the company on ebay

Do these have fans? Can't really tell from the pics. Also, are they very heavy compared to the originals?

Those aren't the ones I ended up buying so I don't know. I ended up buying these fanless ones:
