"Y" audio cable for sale

Courtesy of the toe-rags who broke into my car and stole the old Ipod I had, I have upgraded to an Ipod Touch 5th Generation, which has the new Lightning connector. This makes my Y cable with the old style Apple connector redundant.

It is the genuine BMW item, not a cheap Ebay imitation that doesn't work. Only had it since last November.

Am selling for £25, which includes postage within the UK.

You'd probably be best to advertise this on E90Post as most F30's, especially those owned by members in here, can use the normal Apple USB cable.

Why not just buy a 30pin to lightening adaptor?

I don't believe so. My wife picked it up somewhere and then went out and bought the new Y cable before I could blink, bless her.

I have the Y-Cable that was released after the apple switch over to lighting but before BMW updated their Y-Cable, on the instruction card it had a diagram stating to use the Apple 30 pin to Lighting adapter to use the new devices

Yes, only the genuine adapter will work but it's £30+, so you might as well get a new y cable!

To cap it all, the new Y cable was faulty, although that was only established when the car went in for the day.

I found only a genuine apple adapter will work. The one with 20cm of lead is better too as allows a little more reach.

Op, I'd stick it up on fleabay, you can also include Mini in the description as they also use the 'Y' cable set up.
