Introduction
Hi there everyone, I didn't see a general Intro area so I'm posting a "Hello Beemer World" thread. We just bought a 2013 BMW 328i, Sport, Melbourne red with 56K miles on the clock. My first BMW, actually it's for my wife, she picked it out from a private party seller. It still has a year of extended dealer warranty.
I drive a 2002 Jaguar X Type and have had great luck on the Jag Forums in the way of maintenance and DIY repairs. I know I'll be turning the wrenches on this car when the time comes, hoping that is not for a while, altho, I will do my own oil change this week. I'm not too hot on the long interval of 14K miles btwn new oil. The last oil change was 7K miles ago, so I'll be doing this one soon. Anyway, we are in sunny Phoenix and she is absolutely in love with this car. She named it Raven. Happy Friday Ya'll!

Welcome Ya'll! (From Texas of course) You'll find a lot of helpful info here as well as helpful members. Nice color, almost picked up the same one but an Alpine Msport popped up and couldn't pass her up.
BTW, do you have a BMW motorcycle? Beemer = BMW bike ...Bimmer = BMW car (Just giving you a hard time for your signature. lol)

Thanks Mouse! I would never buy a red car myself, but she likes it cuz it's flashy. I'm more the subdued type, my car is charcoal gray. If it makes her more visible and a tiny bit safer, I'm all for it.
I see now, I didn't know the distinction btwn Bimmer and Beemer. Speaking of motorcycles, I'm not allowed to have one. Lol. It would worry her too much. I'll have to think of another catchy signature

Welcome and congrats on the BMW. There is lots of info on this site that I'm sure you'll find helpful along the way. I've had my Bimmer since Feb and this place has come in handy a few times already!
I never knew the difference of Bimmer/Beemer either until now. |

How do I add this car to my 'Garage'? I've searched my profile page but find nothing to start my garage so that people know what kind of Beemer I'm talking about when I post.

Up at the top of the page, where the blue banner resides and says "F30Post 2012-2015 BMW 3-Series and 4 -Series Forum" there are a sub set of menus that are slightly opaque. The second one says BMW Garage, select that and on the left hand side should be the option to add a vehicle.
