Audi SQ7

As a former SQ5 owner (great all rounder, just not involving enough for me to live with as only car - but thats not really its purpose) the new SQ7 looks quite tasty

I don't! The SQ5 was too big for my tastes in the end.

Awesome long distance cruiser though!

Big old car but then so are X5, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport etc so there is plenty of market for things that size. Plenty of horsepower and V8 diesel.

Now what I would be interested in is that engine in an S6 or RS4 diesel avant. Don't think it would ever happen though, in much the same way I doubt the 50d engine will find itself into the 3/4 series.

Don't you think a V8 diesel lump sitting out front of a normal saloon car would be a bit nose heavy? Turn in would be appalling!

The SQ5 was too big and not involving enough, so you fancy an SQ7 ?

Audi may have significantly lightened the 7, but it's still a lumbering beast.

ETTO I guess.

I'd love one

To qualify I live in the burbs 6 miles from work and for that reason it would be perfect for the new little man too.

Where did I say I fancy one?

I don't, and I've said as much in another post above

Just posted because there are undoubtedly people who are looking for a big 4x4 with monster power and torque, and for those people my opinion is the SQ7 would be interesting

You could indeed be right - I'd certainly be interested to know what the engine weighs. If I'm honest I'm more thinking about the straight line grunt and torque rather than the delicacy of the handling, which Audi don't have a great track record of anyway...

Fair enough - I misinterpreted "looks interesting".

A chap up the road has a current Q7 - massive thing.

Yeh I don't like the styling on either the new Q7 or the last gen but if it came to I think the last one looks better from the outside
