335d f31 with adblue, when did that happen!
Picked up the car today and had a surprise - the thing has a blue filler next to the fuel filler. Damn thing needs adblue!
My mates six month old hasn't got this, anybody else have it or am I the first????

Had it on 2 cars now yes, but if a pain but basically about £12 every 10,000 miles to top up.
RRS wanted 15 litres, thirsty beast!! A local petrol station has a truck pump for it now too, which I tried on the RRS but although it would physically fit it would not pump!! Must be set up for tricks only. So the new car pics then....

Does adblue have any effect on performance or economy? Know nothing about it.

Contains urea.
You might as will just take a piss in the fuel filler

Yeah it's about 33% urea and the rest is de-ionized water... and it can apparently tell the difference if you piss in it (human piss is about 2½% urea, 1½% salts and 96% water - although in Glasgow...).
Had heard that some cars will 'reduce' performance if the Adblu runs out, don't know if that applies in BMWs

Drive quite hard and it can be as much as 1 litre of AdBlue per 300 miles. My nephew drives a VW Transporter and that uses much more AdBlue than VW say is average. VW's figures are not too optimistic to start with. |

Yes the HGV diesel pump nozzles are bigger than the standard nozzles and pump fuel at about 3 or 4 times the speed. My current truck has twin fuel tanks and holds about 850 litres. In the past I've filled up using a standard pump and it took nearly 15 mins to fill just the main tank (about 500 litres)
