Thanks for the idea Freddie335 .

In light of recent times and the doom and gloom going around, thought I'd gauge interest in a West Midlands meet. I'm based in Birmingham, but happy to travel a little depending on the location of others and the better driving roads - advice on this would be much appreciated too. Midlands tick maybe?

Would anyone be interested? Think last weekend of September or first of October, but fairly flexible. All socially distanced of course, just something to look forward too and a nice break from routine.

Could be interested in this depending on finalised date & any commitments.

Don't forget we have Caffeine & Machine here in the midlands which would make a great coffee stop. If you've never been they get all types of exotica through their doors.

As you are going to Uppingham, I met up with about 15 Porsche owners two weeks ago and did this route, lots of twisty, fast roads. You get to see Eye Brook Reservoir, Welland viaduct and Rutland water:

Here's some photo's I took from the air:

Much appreciated Rick, route to be confirmed, but that looks really scenic.

I've been looking for an excuse to go to Caffeine & Machine for ages. I'm based in Cheshire though, so this trip might be a bit far for me, but I could meet for a coffee at least.

Looks like we can book a 2.5 hour car parking space and Caffeine & Machine, happy to accommodate the timings around anyone who wants to travel. 12:30-3pm seems the most reasonable?

I've flown from HusBos many a time but it's big and clicky.

My club is called Welland GC, smaller and friendlier.

Hi all. With the new rules coming into force, will probably have to pause this for now as I think we'd exceed 6 people.

Will have to sort something out when the 2nd wave eases a bit.

Thanks for the interest, I think we'd definitely have a decent turn out if the timing was better.

Stay safe and well.

Matt -
Would be up for this when things allow. More than happy to bring the camera gear to any finalised meet & get shots for those attending so be good if we could get some locations mixed in a driving route.

First time I've heard of Caffeine and Machine - looks great, a bit far from me though.

It's a great place & well worth a stop off (in normal times) if your route takes you past it.

Have you been in midweek when no events on? Is it still quite busy and worth a visit?
