I didn't change the gap, I just measured because I was curious what the stock gap was. I measured 0.027, 0.028, 0.028, 0.027, 0.027, 0.027

Do some pulls and log you IATs. If you see IATs over 100 then you'll want to get a bigger FMIC.

Fully agree. Below logs were done on OEM plugs @ 0.03" gap. I regret spending money on the NGK 97506.

I finally go around to loading BM3 on my Avin 10.25" Andriod screen and it works. Much better than my phone display. This is the 7.1 version, would not run on 4.4.

I've heard rumors about the 8.x, but the 7.1 just came out for the F22 a few weeks ago. The F3X 7.1 has been out for a while so I assume the first 8.x will be for the F3X again.

I was going to order this unit but I'm going to wait it out. I have a feeling it's dropping soon.

Hello! I'm having a issue with my car and the OBD agent, bootmod3.net and both the obd agent say they're connected to my car but i can't do anything on it. Gauges don't work, cant read codes or anything. its like its not connected.

It says "ERROR DME software details unavailable"

My problem comes from a few weeks ago i deleted bootmod3 completely from my computer (i don't remember why) and now its telling me this. i saw someone with similar issue as well.

Now how do i possibly re-download my dme file? I mean why cant the program just re-scan the car or something?

So I'm finally biting the bullet and decided on buying BM3 this weekend

So my dumb question is, People that have BM3 on crappy California 91oct gas, did you notice a noticeable boost with tune?

I'm probably moving towards adding some boostane or something like that to go up to 93oct with maybe paired with some E20 or E30 later on. But starting with straight 91oct.

Really? You regret the $3 and change extra you spent per plug? I don't think it's a big deal, just run em for 20k and swap for something else. I'm running the NGK 97506 with my MHD Stage 2+ 95 octane tune and they've been great. When I took them out of the box I checked the gap, it was at about .030 so I left it there and they work great. All though MHD recommends stock plugs and gap as well. However running the more aggressive timing 95 octane tune I figured why not splurge on the 1 step colder NGKs.

I don't understand why people are not sticking with stock OEM plugs. They're great and I've had zero issues with them on a FBO 335 running bm3 stage 2 93.

Simply because the bm3 tuners recommend the 1 step colder ngk with. 018 to. 020 inch gap and it's been repeated numerous times by people in forums and Facebook...

Personally for me, it's because I thought it'd clean up the timing drops I was having, but it didn't look any different on my logs compared to stock and it was just the octane of my fuel. I'll be sure to go back to a wider gap next time I'm in there

Ok this will sound dumb but If you get BM3, Unlock and tune, If I bring it back to the dealer locked and with stock tune... Can they tell what I was doing? Im sure everyone has asked this question but I can't find it answered.

Also will I blow my charge pipe with stock car and BM3? Im guessin the answer is yes.

Thanks!

Anytime you mess with tunes you run the risk of your dealer discovering it. They CAN and they WILL if they want to, it's that simple. That being said I lock mine and flash back to stock when I go in for service or any CPO related work and haven't had an issue. I'm also really cool with my SA so...

Find yourself a good SA and be honest with them upfront BEFORE you bring your car in for service, that's MY advice.

Where do you find them for $3/plug???

They are around $13/plug from RockAuto.

I notice a lot of users have a catless downpipe but that is problematic for me in NY. I saw that they have recommended hardware for the tunes. Is it possible to run the stage 2 tune with an upgraded CP, FMIC, and intake only? im trying to figure out what is my best course since im still stock downpipe and exhaust at the moment with no plans to upgrade the DP due to emissions here. Unless someone knows a way to set the readiness monitors.

please excuse my ignorance but i cant find a definitive answer on this and they dont seem to list out the OTS maps unless you buy from them. In the event the stage 2 will not work for me, is stage 1 worth it from those that have used it?
