Spark Plugs - If not now when?
My BMW dealer called today to set up an appointment for service on my 2014 335i. She said the car was due for an oil/filter change and replacing spark plugs. The car has only been driven 25,000 kms so I’m inclined to pass on the spark plugs. I realize the car is 6 years old, but to me this is overkill.
But if not now, when should these be changed out and is there any other maintenance I should be considering. The brakes were bled with the last oil change. The car is lightly used in summers and mainly garaged in winter so it will take a while before it gets to 48,000 kms. Thoughts welcomed. |

Absolutely not. Unless running some outrageous flash tune, the plugs will be good until 50-60k miles... probably much longer actually.
I changed my at 50k miles because I felt like it. They looked fine still. |

I have a 2014, and 60K KM. I was going to do it but really, I can't see the point. Going to wait until 80K KM. I've only driving 1K KM in the last 6 months so maybe in year 2040 at the rate I'm driving!
