Hi BMW fellas


Recently I did a region convert coding on my F30 LCI imported from Korea to Europe,

Now the problem is that car doesn't recognize speed limit signs anymore!
Prior to region and Nav. update Car was recognizing the signs and showed them on HUD correctly!


Any help would be appreciated

did you install EU maps? does car have 8TH from factory?

Yes Gerry updated the maps and did region change! yes it has 8TH since prior to updating the maps and doing region change it recognized speed limit signs.

Gerry said that it could be that I could be in a blocked country for SLI! Though I don't know if there's logic behind that! Since kafas cameras read the signs as car drives and before it was working on the same country!

If you are in Serbia... then with kafas2 you can forget on SLI. Kafas 4 working in this land

Siki, I am in Kosovo and prior to region change it recognized speed signs very well!

Since I am a newbie on E-Sys I am taking my time first to learn it before coding, even though I am an IT and have understanding of hardware flashing and software use!

What E-Sys ver. you recommend to start? Right now I have E-Sys 3.27.1 with psdzdata 57.0.400 together with an ENET cable which I built myself.
If you have E-Sys software with tutorials and psdzdata to get started I would appreciate if you share them!

Esys alone is not enough launcher is needed for fdl coding. Esys 3.27 is to old so you will need to buy some newer launcher like esysultra or bimmerutility. I can code over remote for you no problem. you need just windows pc and enet cable

Everyone, now SLI is working from Kafas2 Siki78 managed to fix it remotely with FDL Coding!

Would you mind explaining what the fix was or is this something frowned upon (even over pm?) as people I assume charge for this service?
My car has SLI from factory but it never worked, dealer does not care so was hoping to fix it myself. I only get the 3 dashes on the cluster/hud. Car has 5AS.

My name is abdo from Morocco , I have a 640xd 2014 with kafas camera , and I lost road signs reading after updating my map from Europe to North Africa , and I have read that you can fix it , could you please tel me more ? Really appreciate your help .
