Sun Visor Labels

I really hate these. Anyone successfully removed them without harming the visor vinyl???

Don't know whether they're some kind of silk-screened ink or sublimation dye but I don't think they are decals.

Those warnings are government mandated, so they don't want people removing them. The only options are to cover them or paint over them.

Maybe by some governments. Not in Europe.
I have it too and also find it ugly. But somehow stopped paying attention to it. Had forgotten about it before I saw the thread

If that doesn't work you can always buy European versions. They do not have them I believe. But that's a lot just for some stickers you really never see since they are above your head.

We'll have it several times again as well. Newbies tend to ask rather than search.

I did do a search and decided to ask as I didn't get the info I needed.

I may be new here but I'm no automobile forum newbie.
Your comments don't exactly endear yourselves to new members. I guess some guys just like to complain when ignoring and moving on is the better option and involves less expended energy for yourselves and others.

Didn't you realize I got my answer, thanked the person who gave it and effectively ended the thread until y'all brought it to the top again with negative comments?

It was my thread. If you didn't like it, then just ignore it.

Had cost me less than 3 minutes, dude.
This is more located into the DIY section, wrong section, no results, no more.

Here the European version.
Much simplified and non-explicit... as it can be expected

So the removal process told me that these labels are probably sublimation printed onto the visor vinyl. Whatever process was used, used heat. It changes the vinyl a little underneath the label. Even with the residue completely removed, there is still a little evidence of a label having been there. Once a vinyl protectant is applied, it does look very good and the evidence is only seen when you look at it with a light source at certain angles.

Looks SO much better without the labels. I'm very happy that I did this.

Recently, my wife informed me that the mirror was broken on my F32 PS Visor

Don't know how this happened (but I do know same thing happened in my 09' 328 - so there IS a common denominator here = the person that uses it )

I ordered a new replacement from ECS, P/N 51168061314

Correct for my car, and not listed as Euro version - yet when it arrived it did NOT have the airbag warning decal present - while my original DID

Not upset about it, just a curiosity...

Wow... I really appreciated your answer and class. I had similar issue and the other smart ass came with such answer that I don't read. So I replied the smart ass... "Give me the link where I can find the answer"... AND SILENCE. Some people here really judge themselves as specials, smart and superior. They carry tons as "Reputation" and their ego goes far. If the search engine of these forums were good... It is very possible we would find answers easier and don't repeat questions... but this is not the case, every time I use the "search" I see a lot of unrelated and useless threads. I totally agree with you, if the point is to complaint because the thread already exist, either answer again, or provide a link to the other thread, or ignore. But telling others to keep digging and looking for "related" threads is just RUDE.
