2015 F32 428i, came with Dinan Intercooler + Tune?
I purchased a used 2015 428i a couple weekends ago. I changed the spark plugs yesterday and noticed it has a Dinan intercooler and tuner.
Attached is a picture of the label under the hood. I checked to make sure and the intercooler does have the Dinan logo, and there is some Dinan-branded part(s) connected at the top-left of the engine bay below the left windshield cowl piece. I assume this is the "DINANTronics Performance Tuner" module? I assume this is the intercooler? https://www.ecstuning.com/b-dinan-pa...d330-0021~din/ How do I find more information about the tune, such as what it modifies, what stage it is, etc.? I'd like to know exactly what has been done to the car in the past. I'm not even sure whether or not the dealer I bought it from knew it was present as they did not advertise it to me. Here is a link to some pictures of the car if it helps in any way: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...t#post25134916 |

It’s probably this: https://www.dinancars.com/product/d4...-f36-428i-n26/
See if the previous owner left it in. I doubt it cuz it’s easier to remove sand resell than the fmic. Also, if you had drivetrain warranty, it’s probably void.

I have Dinantronics in my F32. Plug and play tune and can be controlled via Bluetooth. Download the app Dinantronics on your phone and see if you can connect (if the module was left installed). You will be able to select stock, sport, sport+, and race mode.

See if you can find a PN on the module and look it up on Dinan's site to see what stage tuner it is.

Yup... that's is the actual dinan that cost $1500. No need to fuss if all is working well.. at least you have a carb sticker.
When it comes with used car. Some people just doesn't care for reselling performance upgrade. They just sell the car as-is. One more thing is the tuner box is actually in there... maybe he just left the sticker in there. Last edited by Gen13 F36; 08-19-2019 at 12:24 PM.. |

It also has the black-tip exhaust as well as the intercooler. Not 100% but it looks like this: https://carbahnautoworks.com/product...-f32-f33-428i/ Are there any other things I should look for such as intake that may have also been add to support the tune? Quote:
The sticker on the tuner box itself is a little faded though so I can't see the exact part number.. Based on what Dinan said (see higher in this post), I think it's fair to assume it has Stage 3. I just need to wait for the app to be available now to see if it's enabled or not. |

As mentioned above, look in your wheel wells for blue springs, which would indicate that they're Dinan lowering springs. Sounds like this car may have had a Dinan badge at one point too. I would look into that as well if that's something that interests you.
