I have 8.5j ET30 19s square and I'm running stock sizes 225/255.

I wonder if I go 245/35 up front if it will rub? The overall diameters for 225/40 and 245/35 are 26.1" vs 25.8" so technically it won't rub?

Ps: I tried running 235/40 initially upfront and it was slightly rubbing on reverse but I did have some chunky winters on at the time.

Technically 245/35 is smaller diameter so it shouldn't rub?
I see people running 245/35 with 255/35 so I'm thinking of going this route.

Thoughts?

EDIT: stock M susp RWD

It will depend on the actual tire, as some tires are slightly larger/smaller even when comparing the same numerical size. The most important factor is the offset of the wheels.

I’m currently running 245/35-19 PS4S in front on my 19x9 et30 SM-10s. No rubbing or other fitment issues with original THP suspension. Since your wheels are 8.5” vs 9.0” with same offset, you’d have 6.4mm more clearance on both sides…

Thanks for feedback what is original thp suspension In comparison of stock M sport?

So I should be good to run 245s without rubbing.

What's your back tire size?

THP (Track Handling Pkg) is basically M Sport plus the EDC dampers, VSS, M Brakes, etc.

I’m running 255/35-19 in the rears. I originally had these four PS4S tires on my OE 442M 19” staggered wheels with spacers. I had switched out the original 225 fronts as they seemed undersized, and the 245 upfront was a big improvement). I’ll probably go with 255s all around with the next set on these SM-10s.

I forgot to ask you if you are xdrive or rwd my understanding is that the ride height is different.

Your comment on this thread is enough for me to get the 245s since your setup is pretty much the same as mine without issues
