There is no "conversion" between Europe and North America. Just Generate the Europe Map FSC Code you need and use it.

ok, i'm asking this because i saw on the web there are some people selling "switchring FSC code - if you are switching from soth asia map to europe etc..." so i thought this is something different from just being genereating code for needed map.

One time code is 35 usd and switching is 55 usd... so wondering if this is the same code as one for 35 just marketing trick...

A person needing a map region change is somewhat desperate, as they have no working navigation system for where the car now physically resides. So, to take advantage of that desperation, seller would have them believe they need something special and more expensive when they don't. This is what is known as a Scam.

You think it is worth a shot to try to use FF to generate a lifetime fsc?
I also read in someones post that lifetime Fsc's don't work anymore, any news on that?

sorry I feel like an idiot, what is the enet cable used for?

I have a regular usb cable that I used for coding different modules. Can anyone link me to a good enet cable to buy?

I have a dlink usb to ethernet adapter that I read on these forums works for connecting to CIC using the glove box usb port. Would this work?

ENET Cable is for F-Series car, or E-Series car with Ethernet on OBDII. You can use USB Lan Adapter instead though.

Hi Shawn, I am having difficulty connecting to the car from the computer with E-SYS. Initially tried with SWID_Reader but that never worked from the Win7(32-bit) on VirtualBox. Kept saying "Start ignition and try again" error.

So, switched back to E-SYS - Tried from the main computer but Java 7 simply didn't work on Win10 x64 and E-SYS doesn't work with Java 8. Next attempt is from the VB Win7 with E-SYS but getting a connection error. Tried both "connection via gateway url" (tcp://127.0.0.1:6801) and "connection via ICOM/Ethernet" (tcp://127.0.0.1:50160) but both say "connection check failed, however, function using ODX-Data can be used". I had selected F025 for my F25 (not direct).

If I proceed to FSC Extended, and diagnostic address 0x63, "identity" button doesn't work. Also all subsequent operations fail with connection error so it's clear the connection was never established with car.

The IP address does show 169.254.xx.xx so it can see the car once the ENET cable is attached. Thanks for any pointer.

You need to doable Windows firewall and antivirus software in both the Host and Guest OS and bridge the virtual LAN Adapter to actual LAN Adapter, and the use an ENET Cable and Connect via VIN.

I attempted to download BMW_CIC_NBT_FSC_Generator.rar and my Trend Micro immediately quarantined it with report of TROJAN virus. fsc.exe in CIC directory is infected by TROJAN_GE virus.
