I tried searching online how to trouble shoot this issue I'm having regarding programming my shortcut/hot keys on the iDrive. Maybe someone can help me out

Issue: shortcuts will not save. I know how to save the shorts it's (as I did before) but now when I try to save a shortcut a prompt say "unable to save". I have tried the hard reset and disconnecting the ground on the battery…no luck…does anyone have a fix?

If you try like in the picture, it won't work.
You have to press and hold the shortcut button in the menu before.
So scroll down to the desired menu item, but do not press the iDrive button yet, but now press the shortcut button for a long time.
