Hello from new member w/ 2019 F31 Msport/THP
Been lurking here occasionally during the ordering/waiting process. Took delivery about 1 month ago and couldn't be happier.
Build: M-Sport Design, Track Handling Pack with 398s and MPSS non-RFTs, HK sound, Premium Tier, heated rear seats, rear sunshades, black Dakota leather, black Ash Grain wood trim, M Sport pedals, black kidneys. Notes so far: 1. These F31s have gotta be the only wagon on the market that gets such consistent positive vibes from those who see it; everyone from Gen X'ers like me all the way down to 11yo's who grin & give a thumbs-up. All dig it, especially the dark rims with the blue M Sport brakes peeking through. 2. The Sport mode on the adjustable shocks is PERFECTLY judged. Cannot say enough how impressive. On the street I'd say they're better than Porsche's PASM in sport mode. And when combined with the steering & transmission setting changes it makes a comfortable cruising wagon do a reasonable impersonation of a sports car. 3. MPSS tires are handmade by God. I can't emphasize enough how nice it is BMW offers this tire as a factory alternative so those of us who care can avoid the cement-shoes (RFTs). No mods planned. This will be a DD. I've modded and tracked (and raced) other cars in the past and I look forward very much to keeping this one stock. Anyway, just wanted to say hello after finally getting around to registering here. Hopefully along the way I'll be able to repay a few folks for the info I've gleaned while lurking. Cheers! Ownership history: 2012 997.2 C2S 6sp coupe 2012 X5 diesel 2007 Cayman S 6sp 2003 996.2 C2 6sp coupe 2002 e39 530i Sport 5sp 1995 e36 M3 coupe 5sp 1987 944S/S2 5sp street/track 1984 Alfa Spider Veloce 1970 911T (two of them actually, at different times: one street, one full racecar) ...and a couple Subies along the way too. Could never not sway away from stock. I'll give it a month you upgraded wheels/tires or suspensions. Ahah. Congrats on the purchase. Love the wagon!

Great build, I feel the same way about MPSS vs RFT’s. Those 398’s look almost as good on your ride as they do on mine.

Great Build. I've got the same packages, minus the rear heated seats and Sunshades. oh, and color. Great car and very easy to fall in love with.

Thanks guys!
One oddity I've noticed so far: When I start the car in the garage and my wife was the last one to drive it, if her iphone is within range Apple Carplay defaults to her phone and doesn't automatically switch to my phone when I drive out of range of hers. It requires me to drill down into the Comms/Known Devices menu to force CarPlay to cut over to my phone (otherwise it only sees my phone as a bluetooth device for calls & music - and won't allow the Carplay interface to initiate). It only takes a few seconds to override, but it makes little sense and I know if the reverse happens to my wife she probably won't bother trying to figure it out. Anyone know of a more seamless solution? Thanks! |

This is one serious wagon with a mission to arrive as early as possible during the daily commute. Looks fantastic!

This is the only way to have it. My build, other than the colors, was virtually the same.
This is one of the last of them. Keep it stock. One day it'll be a classic. |

Beautiful wagon and great taste! Mine's being built now. Thank you for sharing some eye candy while I wait. Hard to find this combination. First wagon for me... I went with Glacier Silver / Cognac. Can't wait until it arrives.
