where does 61129335592 fit in?

thanks.
A Friend of mine bought this part# 61129335592 for his F22 to retrofit the airbag ambient light and it is wrong part. I have no idea what is the correct repair cable part#.

Wish I can do this to my f25 2016. Seems like the part is not for x3.

Do you have ambient light? What about the airbag cover? Is it removable?

My friend did the mod on his F22. He has the airbag logo but it is not a cover. It is part of the trim but same size as the removable airbag cover. He had it removed by cutting the airbag logo and then use the airbag cover with reflector and the LED light cum cable and hook it up to the existing ambient light.
It is cheap mod so see if you are game to try it.

Ye I have ambiet light. If it's the same size then I can cut it. I do have the airbag trim, but not sure if it's a removable cover. I have two in the front and two in the back. If it's the same size for all bmw then i'll order 4 and try it.

Sorry, I know this is an old post. I'm now doing this retrofit, but I don't know where the connector from the air bag should connect to. Do I need to cut the wires from the B panel and attatch with the air bag wires? I'm so confused of doing this retrofit... I'll post some pictures later to illustrate what I'm taking about

Can you give more detail on how you changed the LED and where you sourced the proper blue LED for the swap.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have f30 lci with ambient lighting. When I've removed door connector, there is no white/blue wire, only the white/red. Can I connect from b pillar wiring 2 and 3 pins together to the white/red one?

Benzinfabrik a German company also sells blue/white replacement modules that are plug n play. No need to mess with soldering tiny LEDs. That module looks like the door card ambient lighting module.

Did mine today. I've connected only two wires: ground in pin 14 and red/white in pin 17. And it's working. Without wire slicing or tapping.
