Cosmetic MOD exterior SUGGESTIONS?

Hey guys
Penelope's a 2015 328i rwd. So rn I'm deciding between a few cosmetic exterior mods (some performance inadvertently ofc) so it's between
Lowering springs (don't want to pay for Coilovers if I don't want them)
M sport rear bumper (although I see some peoples look tacky and bulky)
M3 style front bumper (although I have to say my current front bumper isn't shabby)
Give me ur suggestions! Thanks guys

Looks mighty fine, I would start with the front myself.

IMO, if you are going to do the front bumper, it wont look right without the corresponding side skirts and rear bumper.

Personally, I think a set of M3 mirror caps would be a good complement without breaking the bank.

^agree. You need to do all four pieces, or dont do it at all.

As for springs, they will give you a better look and possibly the feeling of better handling for a month or two but eventually... your stock shocks will wear out and your ride will become CRAZY bouncy.

Then you will need to take a part suspension a second time to do dampers.

That's exactly what a lot of us did.... learned the hard way!

I would do it all at once. You dont have to select coil overs.

Wow thanks so much for the warning. So what would you say is the best way to slightly lower my car and get that added traction I'm looking for without messing up the stock suspension and dampers?

Lowering springs contribute to both the aesthetics and driving characteristics of the car. Do that.

sspade has a valid point. Lowering springs will have higher rates which your stock shocks are not built to handle. It's only a matter of time before you will need new ones. Sure you can get just lowering springs alone but it would be wise to also consider a set of shocks so you only have to do the work once.....unless you are capable DIY'ing all of it and don't mind it.

Could you recommend some good lowering springs and shocks for my car?

The Eibach Pro Kit, for instance, are designed to be used with OEM shocks. Yes, they will be a bit more bouncy, but the OP wants cosmetic mods and a lower CG will still help handling compared to stock. I ran Macht Schnell on my F80 with stock shocks for 3 years with no problems, including track days. Yes, coilovers will give you more options and probably a better overall experience, especially in braking, corner exits and transitions, but the OP wants COSMETIC mods. So unless he/she want's to track, springs should suffice. Why spend $2k on coil overs when you are never going to see the track?

If you want handling and drive feel, suspension is where you'll find a big difference. I've got a 2013 328i and I've done the stuff you're thinking of doing cosmetically, love the look. I'm about to do Bilstein B8 with H&R Sport springs, I've driven an F31 with those here and the difference is definitely noticeable.

This looks especially horrible. The M Sport bumper looks much better and fits with the F30's form. Not sure why everyone wants to go F80. Look at that chin!
