Jondaman Build Thread.
Hi, All,
I just did my first major mod today and would like to start this to keep track of my progress. My baby the first day we took her home more than three years ago: I know it has been a long time but this was my wife's car while I roam around town in a 2008 E92 335i. I loved that fully loaded car with every single options on the books. After this car became my daily driver about three months ago, there were quite a few things I needed to change to make me fall in love with f30. Since we bought the car off the lot, it was a based model, only option we had were the premium package. But I knew I will spend money to make this into something unique and truly the way I want. First thing I did was to get the tints. The second act was to get some full surround floor mats to protect the carpet. It ended up being a decent thing, but does get slippery after conditioning. I then install the M-pedals: Seeing how plain the interior is, I ended up getting the speaker surround trim to add a bit more color around the door. The first big interior mod is the replacement of the base steering wheel to the M-steering wheel, wiring, and coded for shifts paddles. This beautiful letter is finally on my steering wheel: M3/M4 bumper fitted today without the front roundel right now. That is in the mail Some mods I have planned to do are: roof wrap to gloss black to match the M3 roof line, new wheels and tires when this set is ready to go, front lips and diffusers, coil-overs, NBT, Parking sensors, and hopefully LED headlights. Hopefully I will get some time this fall and go up the mountains to get some Epic shots

Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered 8ft x 5ft of 3M glossy black G12. After the roof wrap, I should have about 2+ feet of material leftovers to do the interior trim and other stuff.

Those are Selma bumpers. the fitment was pretty much spot on for most of the machined parts. You can get them all over the place but eB seems to be the most popular.
I would suggest to get as little openings as possible: the headlight washers, the PDCs, those were man-cut and were not as good. I am planning on doing some bondo/sanding/detailing to get rid of any imperfections.

Awesome build. Love where its going. I to wanted install that front bumper, however i never followed through. My main concern is the fitment of all the fender liners and lower trim pieces under the bumper. Do you mind shooting some pictures with your wheels turned and underneath the car? Much appreciated.

The trim pieces should come with the new liner and they worked pretty well with the holes perfectly aligned. I didn't have much issue fitting them where the trim pieces were provided. But on the left side and right side of the fender liner, I noticed I am missing two parts that should came with it but didn't. I am planning on buying two M3 parts from the dealer and try to make them fit. I may have to drill small holes or whatnot to get them to fit but I will let you know later, after that I will give the part numbers etc for you. If you take a look at this picture, you will see two big plastic pieces on the lower left, mine didn't have those:

Very nice, I think with the right wheel/tire and suspension setup is the next mod and you should do it asap. That aggressive bumper doesn't work with the stock wheels at all.

Looking at your picture.
I think you are right I opted for the fog-light option wanted to keep function over looks. But your car looks really clean.

Roundel installed after making my way back from BMW, ended up buying it from them with a price match. Sorry about the less than stellar cellphone picture.

I just received the roof wrap material yesterday, I was planning on wrapping it the next day or so but we got hit with excessive heat (115°F) . I will probably wait to complete that part of the project next weekend.
I will keep you all posted. Thanks!
