So after reading about quite a few scammers crashing into cars to make false claims I thought I'd go ahead and get myself a dashcam.
After spending quite a few man hours trawling the net and reading through various threads on here I settled on the Blackvue 450S 1CH, as it’s my first dashcam I decided to go for this entry level one which does not have a Parking Mode which is fine for the moment. So whilst I researched hardwiring it into the rear fuse box I started off with it been hooked up to the power socket under the glovebox as a temporary measure as I wanted to keep this free for my TomTom and charging phones hence hardwiring to the fuse box and wanted it to be totally reversible without leaving any trace if needed. Getting the right route to the boot was not an easy one but I managed to route it as follows which is all down the drivers side:
Now as I used the original power lead which was just the right length [4.5m] I bought a female power socket and some wiring and fashioned my own wiring harness, the power went to Fuse 153 for the ACC+ Which has the same powering switch characteristics of the power sockets and the negative/ground went directly to the earth screw for the battery....I could not find any other screw that would give a good negative/ground reading which was closer to the fuse box but that was no big deal. Anyway here are some pictures and end result of my dashcam. .

As winter approached I thought I could hold out and look after my car matts but no...they are starting to get hammered so before they get any worse I decided to shop around for some rubber matts to see me through the winter till spring then swap them over again.
So after looking at aftermarket matts I did decide to take the plunge and get the BMW OEM ones, god I am so glad I did they are great and definately worth the extra money |

Hello nice car, I have the same a 320i bought for £15,600 with 21500 on clock , car has a 5 year service on it but BMW have said I will never get the chance to use it as the service schedules are so long , was a bit annoyed really . I am enjoying my car though just need to do a few mods but at 43 years old i should not be thinking mods lol

Thanks mate...43yr old I'm 45 and still browsing at the odd mod every now and then, I prefer subtle mods rather than engine/exhaust upgrades etc... not to say I wouldn't just budget
Mines on 21,000 miles and about to go in in Feb for a service [4yrs old] and I have been told that the service intervals are 2yrs or 12,000 miles so as I'm travelling round Europe this year I'm hoping to get another service in on the plan. Nice car by the way...looks stunning in white |

Welcome, nice to see another 320i owner.
Yes the service pack is good, but only if you own it pretty much from new or do very high mileage. For example, my 320i has only done 12,000 miles and has the same service pack. I do 20,000 miles a year so i should get at least 3 services from the pack. If you are doing less mileage, you may not get much from the service pack. Are you guys finding your 320i's to be a bit of a fuel guzzler?

I have about the same mpg as you 32mpg [Fuelly] with mine been mainly urban driving based on that fill up as only just started using the app. I'm off to Reims, France in a few weeks so that'll be it's first big run all on Eco Mode so I'll report back the mpg |

I got the service pack thrown in with mine due to an issue with the dealer. To date it's had a service after 2 years, brake fluid change a year later in Dec 2016 and I'll cop for another service in Dec 2017. Only 13,000 miles on mine
Nice looking motor jbeer, mine is the same colour and it looks superb when clean - what do you use to get that shine? |

i don't like the long service intervals mine has 2 year intervals and i decided to change the oil today, the oil was black. it was changed at the dealers a year ago, with the turbo engines it will cook the oil quicker and there is already some issues with the n20 engines reliability.
