They can be used to replace the trim, test cut the trim....or even experiment painting or removing the silver/chrome trim from the exterior. |

Anyone else in the U.K. interesting in purchasing 10.2" surrounds to use as blanks or test pieces? Hoping to get a few on board to save on the shipping costs!

Hey - Forgive me, not trying to be rude, isn't this as simple as popping out the trim with the air vents and undoing the 2 screws, sliding the screen out, then sliding the new one in? Optionally can trim the dashboard for a great look?
Is there something I am missing here? Is the screen way too large when driving? Looks like an easy win/win, no? |

But it's not a slide in and out retrofit. That's why I suggest experimenting with a dead CID before operating on your good one. |

Coding is relatively easy, on my 18 m3 which comes with factory touchscreen just change the screen resolution to 940x1440 with BimmerCode. On 4 series LCI I've heard your factory touchscreen is disabled so you might have to turn it on somehow but it shouldn't be hard.

Dear All,
Did this modification during this August during vacations It was not so long to do it, around 2h30, with lot a patience! I'm very happy, to have a bigger screen is now better, especialy for the GPS and watching somes videos and TV! |

I have a F22 2016 NBTEvo B142 with ID4 and got a 10.25 screen from a 2015 X5, part number 9347878, but it doesn't turn on. At one point it just showed "No Signal", now nothing comes on.
Do I need coding to enable it? Any advice would be much appreciated Last edited by mastrchee; 12-16-2019 at 11:34 AM.. |
