Well, Bav is shipping me a Stage one kit too from a separate order from that same week, so maybe they went ahead and shipped the subs so it all arrives together. ?? Just a guess.

Don't even know why I'm saying anything...couldn't install them anyway since my car is still at ENZO till the end of the month.

Probably will install on Thursday....I watched the video and it looks like an easy DIY.

I don't think that is the case at least for my orders.
Ordered sub on the 27/10. Last week got message it is delayed till end Jan 2016. Still no response after checking a few times when I see orders received and being shipped here.
Placed order for stage 1 last week and was shipped few days later and otw to me
without my subs.
I am curious how orders are processed. I would think first come first serve.

Delivered and in perfect condition via FedEx. I have a charger hooked up and will get them installed and run them for a few hours. Will report back later today.

This is EXACTLY what I'm waiting to hear before I buy these. I wasn't TOO impressed with the SWS subs so I'm weary on how much improvement can really be made on a sub with such strict design parameters.

To be honest, from the looks of Bav Sound, I can say they wont sound better than SWS. I will be installing them side by side for comparison.

Also, new Rockford plug n play subs can be an option to consider..

Ordered 09/18 BTW, Shipped 12/15.

Will throw them in tomorrow or Friday night and report back. I don't expect to be blown away, as I still have the factory Hi-Fi amp. At the end of the day... you can only expect so much from a shallow sub on factory power, right?

BimmerTech amp upgrade after my wallet rebounds from Christmas...

Well that's unfortunate, hopefully we're wrong. And yea I saw those, I just don't want to be the Guinea pig lol

The brown wire(or the wire with brown on it) is the negative wire on both subs right?

I'm interested to see the comparison with the Earthquakes. Ive got the Bimmertech amp upgrade on Hi-Fi system with SWS 8" in my F31.
I wasn't expecting lots of punch. Definitely would need a separate trunk woofer/ amp for that.

IT IS better than stock subs and amp. Plus amazon had subs for $114/ each.

Good packaging but nothing there but the driver. No paperwork of any kind.

That was an easy installation. Took an hour and 10 minutes going slow and took time to vacuum under the seats and take pictures. In the coupe there is tons of room to work... there was no need at all to ever get in the car. No need to unplug the seat wire harness. You could even swap the woofers without removing the enclosures if you were careful, but I wouldn't do that. Had to really tighten the woofer screws down to get rid of a rattle on the passenger side. Some silicone or a thick gasket would be helpful. The OEM woofers had a thick bead of adhesive on them to help them seal up tight.

I'll give them time to loosen up before critiquing them too much. Without seeing the specs my ears would say they are a hair less efficient than the OEM's. Low end extension is better (eq set flat) and there is a more solid floor at 80-100hz. I'm not hearing a big difference down in the sub-50hz area in my limited test so far. More controlled bass in all areas including midbass but it's not dramatic - just better. The transition from woofer to midrange is still awful (HK's fault, not Bavsound) and hopefully that will improve when I install the Stage 1 drivers.

As others have said, there is only so much you can do with a 8" shallow driver in a tiny enclosure on a stock amp. I'll run them for a couple of weeks and see if they improve. Overall I like them but I'm realistic and know they are never going to hit like a JL sub in a proper box.

Yeah... i hear you on THAT. When the OEM subs are placed in such cramped quarters, you are already starting out in the hole (no pun intended). How much will it really improve the OEM underseat woofers??

For $400 (early adopters) or $500 now, thats halfway to a pair of 15" JL Audio Subwoofers + 1000W JL Audio amp + Enclosure in your trunk that will BLOW the doors off anything some underseat woofers will do.

Don't get me wrong, i love my BSW S-1 upgrades over the OEM Hi-Fi speakers, but for the ROI, i'm going with trunk subs for now.

As far as my underseats, I'm going to wait on 1) reviews and 2) a person who is eventually going to dump their BSW ghost underseats for $200-$300
