Ooui Yes, I believe I got my tracking number last Friday or Saturday, and it arrived today.

I was the second one in the group buy or something, so that might be one reason it was shipped so soon. Shipping was very quick for here in the USA though. It was shipped Next Day which I was surprised and happy to see.

Thanks for posting this Nelson@BimmerTech , I'm sure this can help avoid some confusion down the line for the others doing the install.

Or can anyone recommend an installer in NJ? I'm a little overwhelmed looking at this....( do I start by unplugging battery?)

I would have been embarrassed to take this to an installer... it was incredibly simple to physically install (granted, I have a wagon) but then again I like to do pretty much everything myself. I didn't disconnect the battery or even turn the car off. Took me 10 minutes, taking my time.

If you read through the thread put together by JNoSol (http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ght=bimmertech) you will be fine.

There are instructions in there for both the install of the amp and loading tune files for your setup. Let me know if you need any help though, just did mine so it's still fresh in the head.

Sorry, I had to try to convey the ease of installation

I installed a seperate class D mono amp and true 10" subwoofer for the trunk last night, that was a breeze too. Probably one of the easiest installs I have done. So if you ever want to fill out the system even more that makes a huge difference, and takes some strain off of the under seat woofers.

Now all that's left for me is a thorough tune...

Not that I'd venture to do this (because I'm an idiot with electronics, i'm a geneticist by training), but I assume you plugged the mono into the bimmertech amp? Post up pics!

I did the installs at night after work so it was tough to get decent pictures in the dark. I was hoping to take everything apart again this weekend to get some good pictures to hopefully help some people out. I might clean up some of the wiring as well, but since it's out of sight and secure it doesn't really bother me much.

so I think you would be surprised at how reasonable the installations are. I think if I posted some pictures you'd be able to swing it.

You are correct, I utilized the RCA output from the Bimmertech Amp as well as the remote turn on (between the power leads that run to the harness) which are both under the left hand panel in my wagon. Then I wired the power and ground leads from the battery area under the right panel. Pictures will help convey how simple it was, literally took two nuts off once the plastic tray that sits atop the battery was out. I had the leads from both side meet up under the cargo area and she powered right up. Ran the left and right speaker cable leads straight up to the box and done.

I found out that my Bimmertech amp switches mode were all turned off. I just switched mode 2 and 4 to "on" and what a difference the +2dB made to the overall sound.

Yeah, I found that by reading around in another thread after my install. Glad Nelson posted it here to help some people out. Made a big difference

I was able to pulled out the amp from the cubby hole since my shallower tray cover is on order. My ride came without amp so I have the deep tray that won't fit now. Anyway, just wanted all to know if you missed this part, just removed the tray and you can unbolt and adjust. I could not adjust mounted as the original amp bracket have a vertical metal piece that block the switches.

When my underseat sub arrives, I will add some balance soundproofing from stage 1 inside the enclosure to reduce the resonance of the plastic enclosure
and see if it is better. It is ported enclosure so I don't think it will be a problem.

See post #46 from Nelson. If you read the manual, page 13 onwards is in English. I think two files are preloaded. Stock tune and Bavsound stage 1. That's what I was told. I have not gone into the tune files yet as I still waiting for my subs. Others can chime in?

There are tiny white switches that are numbered on the Bimmertech amp. #2 and #4 will increase your gain.

You have Hifi, Yes our amp is compatible with your car.

Thank you Nelson, Patrys and the OP who set up the group buy ...

Received the amp yesterday via DHL from Poland. Fitted it today, it took about 1 1/2 hrs taking it carefully and un-rushed.

Bracket fitted well eventhough I have OEM reversing camera. It's much louder than OEM amp with my OEM speakers. It's LOUD!!!

The preinstalled tune I'll reserve judgement on ... but then what's the fun of having a DSP if I leave it all to others.

Once again, thank you ... great price, great service, great product, great forum.
