I just got mine installed this week but the NAV button on idrive sends me to Google maps. Any idea how to point it back to the stock BMW maps?

I bought a gen 2 Avin unit, initially, i had some issues with the original screen not showing up correctly, however, this turned out to be a can bus setting. What i don't like is the speed of the unit starting up, what i also don't get is why its always seemed to default to my old cic screen, the stability of playing music is not good, it stops playing when i scroll through my hdd filled with music.

Any tips are welcome.

I just bought Gen2 Version, but i have A big Issue.
The Screen is not conect to my car, It show '' No Signal ''.
I have to try many options in ''Car type'' but it's not work.
And i wonder : My screen is used for F30 ( 3 seri )???? You can see the '' Car Type'' below the picture. I didnt see for F30. (

Which car system originally? Where did you get the Android unit? where did you get the no signal screen (since you have a screenshot showing the android menu, I think you mean no signal from Idrive...?)
Did you connect all the cables? (also the 4 or 6 pin, thats you idrive source).
Really need more details..
Your exact car type doesnt need to be in the screen, just try them all and see if it works (its normally the one with the dicsplay size that your original car had...).
You hould also be able to scroll donw in that menu you have on your screenshot or you have the wrok cartype.xml (or bought the wrong unit for you car...)

I just picked up a brand new 120i F20.
But I havn't got the AUX used for audio from the android unit - however I have a USB connector instead.

Is there a way around that?

Have you used the GPS splitter cable or the GPS arial ?

This is a known issue when using the splitter cable as the Android unit uses a different voltage to the BMW side.

You need to connect the loom marked with X.

At the back of the car: Red goes to the red of the RCA loom and black to nearest convenient ground.

At the front of the car near HU: Red of the RCA loom goes to red "CCD 12v" of the main HU loom. Then select aftermarket camera from menu. No need to connect separate ground at this end.

Just installed the same system on my car. Has anyone figured out how to adjust the range of the reversing lines? They are too optimistic in my system.

Something on my setup has started playing up. When I'm playing the android side of things, the iDrive cuts off and shuts down or reboots. I've had the stereo on the BMW side and everything has worked perfect. Is it my head unit gone or is the idrive no longer able to take aux?

I was looking at upgrading my factory ENTRYNAV to the 8.8" screen then came across these units.
been speccing up for one and am wondering about the optional DAB module - do you need this to get DAB? My car has DAB so would the existing DAB connection not work with the android screen ? Not fussed about having it on the android side as my main reason for this is the screen size.

Hello to everyone! Yeah, I made the same mistake but not without pain!

The Coika Service changed me the unity (I've a F20 from 2012 built in 11), The HU arrived and seems all the functions are working fine, outside the parking sensor (no apk popup) but the worst problem is the iDrive control knob.
When I move the know it moves in the Android System and also n the NBT system, not the opposite.
Coika is not able to fix the problem and I hope you could not find the same problem.
Is somebody able here to do a Rever Engineering of a MCU?
The service said to me that "in China there's no your model of system", so I have to keep it or send it back again (69.- €).
Some good souls that could help me?
