What jb4 map to use?

Hello,
I am currently driving a 435i sport line with a jb4, injen CAI, ER charge pipe, and ER catted down pipe. What is ideal jb4 map to use for the best performance? and also what other mods would help the overall performance of the car?
-thanks, tuned435i

www.n54tech.com/forums/ might be better

You can start with map2 since you're almost FBO and you can try map5 as well.
Map1 is for a stock car, Map2 is for your mods, and Map5 is (AutoTune map)

I have the same mods you listed and I run map 2. Not a fan of how the car drives on map 5. Hard to describe but the power feels unpredictable.

If you running the JB4 with the flexfuel wires, try running a couple gallons of e85.

Another mod?
Upgrade the turbo to a Pure Stage 2.

Map Info

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: Additive target, around 4psi over stock.
Map 2: Additive target, around 6psi over stock. Suggested for those with 93 octane and bolt on modifications. Also good for small E85 mixtures.
Map 3: Progressive methanol mapping, absolute target of 11-20psi based on meth flow, meth additive setting, and average ignition values.
Map 4: Stock performance with JB4 active for logging only.
Map 5: Autotuning map, absolute target of 11-17psi based on octane and conditions.
Map 6: User definable absolute target map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only.
Map 7: Race gas map. Absolute target of 18.5psi. Requires straight unleaded race gas.

I'd stick with Map 2.

What octane gas? I would use map 2, but we are limited with 91 octane in CA so it's map 5 for me.

I'd log that to be sure. I was in the same boat and was forced to use Map 1 for 91 octane since Map 5 has been teak to adjust for those wanting to run ethanol.

Yup, just log to be sure. 91 with 3-4 gallons of E85 should get you the octane you need for map 2.

Just installed the JB4 on my 2013 335ix. I have VRSF charge pipe and Meistershaft Cat back exhaust installed. I only run 93 octane, Map 1,2 or 5? Thanks in advance...

Map 1 or 5 whichever you like more

You need downpipe and intercooler for map 2
