19's on xDrive advice

Hey guys,

About to pull the trigger on some Avant Garde M359's

I've got to say, choosing a wheel/tire setup is one of the more stressful things I have done

Anyways, specs are 19x9 ET35. Is 19x9 front and rear safe for xDrive?

And paired with MPS4S. Again, same size all around or go staggered?

Top priority is the preservation of my drivetrain and suspension components. I dont want a setup that sharply increases the wear and tear on those components.

My car is a 2017 340ix if that helps.

Thanks.

Square setup will certainly work. Keep in mind that BMW offered a staggered setup as an option. My 2013 BMW 335i xDrive sedan had staggered 19" wheels and tires.

What do you think of a 40 offset in the front?

Why would you want to bring the wheel closer to the suspension with that offset. You've picked a good square setup with the ET35.

BMW 19" 401 Style staggered wheels were offered as an option on 2013 335i xDrive sedans.

Size / Offset / Placement:
8.0x19 ET 36 front
8.5x19 ET 47 back

I suggest to stay within OEM offset specifications as much as possible.

yeah i was just shopping around. one set of wheels had a front offset of 40. i've settled on Apex Arc-8s and MPS4S—the Oem+ package they offer.

Garage List
Im running 235/40/19 on 8,5" in the front and 265/35/19 on 9,5" in the rear and has been for the last 40.000km on my F36 435d x-drive.
No issues what so ever….
So you don't need to be scared of staggered setup on x-drive cars as long as you are under 1% dif front to rear

I also find myself in the same stressful situation as OP and I keep going back and forth between an offset of +35 or +30. I also plan on a square setup but can't decide on 19x8.5 +30 or 19x8.5 +35. Regardless I planned on 235/40/19

+30 if i had to vote. i ran +35 and i could have easily put a 5mm spacer on running 235/40/19s. Overall i was happy with +35 though. if you plan to lower, +30 will be flush without the need for spacers

So the setup in this pic then is 235/40/19 on 19x8.5 +35 square?
Looks like a really nice setup, making my +35 and +30 decision even harder!

Edit: Just realized you said 9.5 rear
