I've got no issues with mine either, but my F34 has 5 inches longer wheelbase than an F30, which makes it ride and handle more like a F10 anyway.

I'm with those who don't care for the steering. I would describe it as overly sensitive and lacking in feel - not obvious from resistance how far you have turned wheel. This is very much the polar opposite of the saabs that were my choice (before going out of business) which had unusually stiff controls.

Yeah I just bought an F30 and I’m having a really hard time adjusting from the telepathic steering feel of my E90. The whole car just seems less poised/athletic/stable at both high and low speeds. Much more understeer/slower to turn into a corner as well.

Nah I'm with you it's completely fine I love it, hate the new stuff tho the g20s steering is so god awful

Go back through the decades and you can substitute F for G, then E, then whatever preceded the E series. There are probable some who still think that they ruined the brand when they discontinued the 2002.

Oh for sure you get used to something and they change it your def not going to like it it's just feels very disconnected to the road I've driven older Beamer and it's just a better feeling I agree with you though.

Folks, Any documented fix for this issue. It has been bothering me over last 6 months to the point where I have lost trust in the car. Especially in PNW where the highways are terribly grooved due to the constant rain, staying in the lane is a nightmare, and lane changes even more so. Any help here would be appreciated.

Staying in a driving lane might have nothing to do with the steering rack per se.

I would inspect your tires for wear, check the alignment, psi, wheel balance and for steering/suspension components for wear.
How many miles on the car and or the tires themselves?

Congrats on your new (to you) ride. Sorry you are having troubles with the steering.

Tires make a difference: For me, getting rid of the run flat tires and going with a high performance go flat made a huge difference. I use high performance all seasons and they are terrific. Summer tires have more grip, but they also wear out 2-3 times faster. For the way I drive my 328i, the performance all season go flats are fine. Tirerack can show you the options.

The most important thing I did is upgrade my upper control arm bushing and lower control arm bushings to Monoballs.

In my case in my 2014, the original bushings were were wearing out anyway so I had to do something. I got the advice on this forum to go with Monoballs and I am so glad I did. It will run you $1,200 or so for UCA and LCA bushing replacements with monoballs. Totally worth it to me.

Get the alignment checked, especially at he rear. Our 328d handled differently left to right when we first got it. Tracked it down to the rear alignment. It drove like there was an over-centering hinge in the middle of the car. Top line alignment shop sorted it.

On monoballs, my Dinan dealer advised me to stay with OEM parts since the monoballs introduce unpleasant harshness. Steering feel is modest at best I agree and maybe I should look at this monoball matter? DO monoballs help the dead feel?

My 2014 335 Xi has non RF Michelin all seasons (245/18 stock size) which are essential, but the car's principal steering issue is the so called adaptive steering where the boost increases markedly as you dial in more lock. It is difficult to maintain the correct line with this going on, and it compounds the problem of steering deadness. My car has Dinan springs and a strut bar with the adaptive OEM shocks and it is a good handling and decent riding sedan. But I was unaware of BMW offering a software fix to the steering.

Please advise if this is correct information. My car does not wander; it's basically ok but any help with the increased boost on higher lock and the dead feel would be extremely welcome. I am skeptical this exists.
