The Apes.
Only a small place. Not a huge amount to do there.
It has a small but efficient airport, with a nice departure lounge.

Loads of times.

Quite a bit to do but depends what you are in to.

You have the various tours in the tunnels (Napoleonic and WW2, although not sure of civvies access).

Then Rock itself is a nice walk up and cable car.

Spanish steps.

The Marina and checking out some rather classy yachts etc.

A walk from Airport up to Main Street and beyond covers a fair bit of history with various bits to see.

Irish Town used to be good for drinks and food.

Avoid carrier bags anywhere near the bloody apes.

We used to go 4 times a year for a minimum of 4 weeks, that was for over 10 bloody years!!!!!!

Across border you have la Linia which is cack.

Gib is small, relatively quiet (if no detachments on) and you can do most stuff over a long weekend - week.

I went in the early 2000's and I'll be honest as fascinating as the place is I found it to be a bit of a dump being honest, just scruffy, no idea what it's like now though.

You cant beat a bit of Bond.

I believe Pennies closed a while back.

Also if you are referring to THE sticky Vicky, that's Benidorm I believe.

The 1980's at Gib could be 'fun' times lol.

The Keys Barracks (think that was its name) was fully manned by the Army (100's of them)

The Navy were often in port as part of some exercise (1000's of the fuckers)

Then you had the RAF there on detachment usually no more than 50 (excluding aircrew).
