Trying to decide between 340 and 440, what kind of deals can I get for the 340?
In my heart I know I want the 440i. But I've been told many times that this is the best time to get the 340 because it is changing model soon. And also they are still selling the 2018 340, whereas the 440 has changed over to the '19 models.
How big of a discount can I expect from a 340 at this point? I know 5k is a given at this point, easy. Can I get 10k? lol Or is that just me dreaming? |

for 340, if you can find one that meets your needs, then $5000 factory credit + 6% - 6.5% off dealer side is doable. So, $10,000 total off is possible (if yours configured to around upper $60's in MSRP). Based on some of the GTA dealers' online websites, some of them showing like 10+ 340 in their database.

In June I picked up a new lease 2018 340i with metallic paint, premium package enhanced, and CarPlay for approximately $7600 below MSRP. On top of this, the dealer picked up one of my remaining lease payments and BMW Canada picked up three more. Not quite a $9000 discount but worked for me. I was happy to get out of my prior lease 4 months early as there were some expensive repairs that looked like they might be needed before my lease was supposed to end in the fall (new front/rear brakes, new tires).

You're likely only going to get BMW credits and whatever the gross is but if you think you can get more because of EOP, I wouldn't hold your breath especially if you're shopping in the GTA. |

So I went with a 440 instead. There's a 2000 factory incentive and I got a full 6.5%. I think I did ok? Not really sure how much room they have to work with, is it 10%?

that's good for MY19 ... as long there are no other bogus fees that dealer is making you pay which can add up to like $1,000+ easily. (vin etching/security fee, $500 range; ride green $200 range; floor mats/car care package $400 range, etc.). I just love dealers who will tell customers they are all MANDATORY fees and cannot be waived or negotiated.
