i know, 3 series is growing like a career = the more experience the more $$$

anyway, i m not happy with the overall look/style of the F30 and I was really waiting for this reveal (plan was to purchase the new f30 in summer/fall next year). Depending on how it looks in the live form I might change my mind but based on pics, I would not want to spend 50K on this car (despite that might have the best handling in its class).

Most likely I will wait for the coupe reveal to make my purchase decision and if it lookes like this http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=562990, it will look good to me.

Until then, my 2006 pre-lci e90 looks damn sexy & aggressive, has superb handling, and is very reliable.... why change

I am still curious about a few things; hydraulic steering or electric assist? What is the difference between these 3 lines outside of looks? Will the 335i be retaining the N55?

-I like the weight loss
-Interior and exterior have to be seen live to be truly judged but not impressed by pictures
- M sport has beautiful exterior but hideous interior bits

I agree, I really like the modern interior, and the M Sport exterior(don't like the colored accents).

I rarely keep my cars stock. I don't go to crazy in my middle age, but I think this car would look great with aftermarket 19" rims(staggered) and tinted windows.

The modern edition is like the baby version of the new 5-series and the new 5-series is the baby version of the new 7-series and the new 7-series is the baby version of the BENTLY! HAHAHAHA

I hate to refer to a different forum on here, but there is another very popular BMW forum on the web, that has side by side photos of the front rear and sides of the E90 and F30. The differences go beyond just the front and the rear of the car. This F30 is all new, and looks very modern, sleek and athletic compared to the E90. Don't get me wrong, I think the E90 is a gorgeous car too, but the more I see the F30, the more I love it!

I want to know how many people who say it's awful said the same thing when the E90 came out and replaced the E46.

Just sayin....

"Copied" from the E90? Are people forgetting that this is a new version of the same car? It is evolving, but hanging on to design cues from previous generations is not copying? If Lexus were to start angel eyes on the IS, that would be copying.

Notice that Porsche has had tremendous success "copying" the previous generation's body style?

I hope when I trade in my E89 that the next generation of Z4s "copies" a lot of what I like about my 2011.

Not many; when most members realize something is hideous... it usually is!

Look at the Bangle butt 7 Series or the Zoro scared Z4

Everybody or the Great Majority loves the New 7, New 5, New X5, New Z4 & The Mini. Those are beautiful.

But the new 1 Series -> Crap!
The New 3 -> Utter Garbage!

I don't know what demographic they are going after, but I'm not putting my money on this piece of work.

Don't worry, once in a while BMW will also produce garbage & they know some or a lot of people will still buy it. Then when they get tired of the criticism, they refresh or change (Bangle 7, 5 & Z4).

I like the new direction Audi has taken with the new A4 & A5, they moved the front wheels in order to improve the side view, front overhang and dynamics... now BMW is making it worst on the 3. Also, Merc with the new C-Klass.

With this ugly duckling humback (Humpnose) Beluga ... they will surely hand the No 1 spot to Audi A4 or Mercedes C-Klass.

Call a spade a spade;
Great job on the New 5, 7, X5 & 1M, M5.

The New 1 Series & New 3 Series

Good luck with your search.
I would recommend you ignore some of these "know-it-all" experts. Market is not what it used to be, and not just for cars..

Be patient and you will find what you're looking for.

Good luck.

If the M-sport package is available 3rd quarter of 2012, does that mean its going to be on the 2013 models?

I would assume so. 2012 model year ends in June 2012, so the M Sport pack (and the xDrive models) are likely available from July 2012 production on as 2013 models.

I'm going to sound really stupid, but I think BMW not extending the leather on the doorpanels was the wrong move. It downplays the car and gives the interior doors a more "petite" look.

Something else that bothers me is the number spacing on the tachometer - I like the 3 3/4 at the top of the gauge, not 3 1/2.
