Exclamation 2012 F30 3 Series Dashboard and Console Revealed!!

BIMMERPOST NEWS
2012 F30 3 Series Dashboard and Console Revealed!!
182
COMMENTS

The F30 3 series will be fully revealed to the world this Friday, but its dashboard has now been revealed in these spy photos. Although these are not great quality photos, what's seen here does appear to match up to the F30 interior spy photos we've previously posted.

As expected, the F30's dashboard is a bit of a mix between the F10 5 series and F20 1 series, with the large fixed screen that we've seen in previous spy photos. A welcome change is the more driver-centric angle of the center dashboard.

The dashboard trim appears to be quite a bit taller, but shorter than the E90/E92's trim and is an attractive black wood grain in this particular model.

For our analysis of the F30 interior from previous spy photos, see:

1er happen to have a very high quality interior. In fact, its better than current 3er. Nothing wrong follow the steps from 1er

I'm not sure yet. It's def an improvement no doubt. The current E9x interior is quite boring. I think this interior looks similar apart from the driver orientated position. Will need to see better pictures.

Agreed. I like how simple the layout is, very driver orientated. One thing I don't like is how the trim doesn't extend across the dash. It's not bad but I'd prefer if it did extend all the way. I can't wait for the full reveal this Friday!

The nav screen looks out of place like it was an after thought. Just kind of sticking out of the middle. Are we sure it's fixed? Looks more like a retractable one.

Not feeling the Benz nav screen. It has to be retractable. Otherwise it's pointless

Looks nice. My gf should be happy where they placed the cupholders this time. Thank god, I don't think I can stand anymore jumping drinks.

Thank heavens the driver-orientated dashboard is back.

I hated the old flat E9X dash. Every single 3 Series dash before the E9X was more BMW-like IMO.

Here's to hoping the 4-series' interior does not look like this. While I do like the driver-centric design, the "tub feeling" from the windshield section/dash is not so attractive. Also, I really LOVED the hidden cup holders. Now, it looks like they're removing another unique design the previous 3-series had.
