Hi guys.

Do you know how do I code for smart closing of tail gate ???
I know 4 series (F36) and 5 series (F10) can active.

I'v changed FEM_BODY --> CAM_SMART_CLOSE --> nicht Active to Active.
It is succeeded LED flash but no gate close.

Let me know and share how can I do it ???

I think I know where it is in the ECU but haven't gotten around to testing it. I asked this question a while back. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1170608

Do you mind posting your HKFM cafd filename? I'm interested to know which version you're on.

Let me dig through my notes and see if I can find the setting change.

Here is what I found:

Search for FUNC_SMO in the HKFM module. Change it's value to 1. Let me know if it works.

Here is the translation from the comments section.

Tailgate closing function via smart opener on / off

0 : Function Smart Opener inactive
1 : Function Smart Opener active

When the tailgate is closed , open by SMO is independent of encoding value always possible .

My HKFM cafd name is 0000157F_008_000_003.ncd.

Year , I also found and change vert 0 to 1.
However , still no function.

Also , SMO_ONLY_CLOSE and FUNC_COMFORT_CLOSE changed to vert=01, but incompleted.

I changed value of FUNC_SMO only from 0 to 1 , but did work nothing.

I'll play with it this weekend and see what I can find out. Since my i-step version just recently was updated, I bet if I change my build date it will automatically activate. This will take me some time to confirm and then find out what is changing.

I had a chance to mess with this today and was not able to get it to work. I changed my build date to 0715 and it re-coded the module that controls the smart opener. I then played with some of the coding and I still wasn't able to find the correct values. I'm thinking something might need to be changed in FEM_BODY as well. I'll keep digging.

Can you try another value for me. I won't be able to do any coding for a few days. Other cars with smart closing have this value as 1.

COMF_CLOSE_TRANS_FUNC_ON = 1

It would be helpful to get my hands on a newer car that has this feature working. I could then do a compare to mine and see what has changed.

My friend (F34 2015 latest model) has sent me HKFM ncd file.
It's file name is different of mine.

Another note, you won't be able to inject this into your car. You'll need to do an upgrade on the ECU. You need the full version of PZdata to do an upgrade. The full version of PZdata has the upgrade files in it. Doing this can be tricky. On your next visit to the dealer let them know that your Bluetooth isn't working well and that you need an I-step upgrade. This will upgrade your car to the most recent version of I-step.

I got PSDZDATA56.3FULL in my PC now.
But I follow your suggestion and will claim to dealer that I want to upgrade I-step.
