Driver Front Tire/Wheel Losing Air

Hello all,

Driver front tire/wheel loses air frequently. On cold mornings, I can expect to need to fill it up with my portable air pump. I also randomly need to air up even on warmer Southern California days. I definitely leaking somewhere.

Both America's Tire and Sam's Club Auto have water dunked my wheel/tire and saw no leaks. I personally think it's a wheel issue, as this wheel was difficult to balance when I first purchased them.

Does the below make sense? Any other suggestions to resolve this?
1. Mount/remount tire to see if it helps
2. Take it to a BMW service center, maybe they'll know?
3. Buy new wheel, tire, or both.

Wheel: 19" 351m
Tires: 245/40-19

Sometimes corrosion around the bead can cause this... although usually in snowier/saltier climates...

Id try to dismount tire from wheel and clean BOTH the mating surfaces of the tire and wheel real good (with grinder/sand paper).

See if that works before ditching an other wise nice wheel and tire.

I think the soapy spray solution is a better indicator for a slow leak. Mix some car wash with water in a spray bottle and spray it around the wheel/tire to see where it bubbles up. On my car I actually had a loose valve stem so it was a quick and easy fix.

I'll give the soap test a shot and then do a remount/cleaning if it is still a problem.

I suppose going back to stock is not really a big deal since I plan to trade the car in at the end of the year anyway. It's just I like to go into the mountains for hiking/fishing and don't want to be stuck out there unable to pump a flat up...

Thanks for the suggestions!
