That's it? they just put on already available options, slapped on MPPK and MPE, and call it special edition limited to only 100? Pathetic. Anyone with a 435 can do this or add these options. What's the difference? Factory installed? Ahh cool. Yea ok. Hate the rims chosen. I would have loved to see something different that is not currently available to purchase as a standalone option. For example, would have loved to see a diff body kit, rear diffuser, slightly altered front fascia, perhaps more HP (not just the MPPK). I guess this is a one stop shop for someone who doesn’t want the hassle of adding these options later on. Looks great, can't argue with that. It is the idea that they're feeding us here that I do not think is anything extra.

If BMW prices the 435i ZHP at $60k, I am going to kick myself for not buying a brand new e92 M3 when it first came out. The price was in the low $50k range.

it's not hard to go to the dealer and say i want this. oh we have the internet and can do that without even leaving our homes. same thing no difference imo

Absurd naming. At least use 435is
I think the Mothership in Germany is really oppose to a M435i/M440i
Either they cannot build a business case (heard a dozen times as an excuse)
Or BMW doesn't think the package is good enough to outperform the current S5 (also next S5 is coming in 2 years).

Give credit to BMWUSA for trying.
Anyone remember BMW Canada even print out a poster comparing M performance vehicles against Audi S cars?

At least insurance company won't insure it as expensive as the S5?

ZHP is exactly the proper name for it. Only a BMW enthusiast would understand.

Wasn't the E46 ZHP model famous for 4-door version?
Also back in the days, this ZHP option was only available in North America.
BMW didn't sell this package anywhere else in the world except the U.S.A (and Canada for BMW Performance edition?).
I really don't see a point here.

Also the interior has to be unique IMO, say a collaboration between BMW Individual and M. Not just slapping BMW performance parts here and there (although they used some BMW Performance parts in the E46 version)

Kind of disappointed if you ask me.

2014 BMW 435i M Performance Edition

I own the M Performance Edition of the 2014 BMW 435i (article below). From the looks of this article, it looks almost like the same car except with LSD. From my knowledge they made about 200 of the 435i M performance edition cars.

True..but it'll show up on the SPID as a ZHP packaged car. Aficionados will (in the future) look for that I'm sure. As a manufacturer car, it will have a following no doubt.

The E46 was much more difficult to do yourself:

These wheels will be an available option for 2016 with the MSport package when you select non-runflat performance tires, aka Pilot Super Sports...

The car looks good, but I think it could have used a couple of different parts to differentiate it from the rest of the M Performance cars.

I'm still driving my '04 e46 2 dr ZHP. Many things I like about it more than my '15 m235i.

- better seats
- better sound system
- better engine sound
- better steering wheel controls

Only left me stranded once for a battery.

For only 100 units I wouldn't waste my money. BMW will overprice the car.
